Stourhead Gardens, Montacute House, Lytes Cary House (all National Trust), Longleat (House, Safari Park and Theme park), Cricket St Thomas (Amusements), Wookey Hole (caves and amusements), Glastonbury (Abbey, Tor and Museum of Rural Life), Salisbury and Wells (Medieval Cathedrals),
Cadbury Camp (Hill fort: King Arthur's Camelot),The Mill on the Brue (children’s activities - book in advance), Sherborne Castle, Nunney Castle, Burrow mump (tor), Muchelney Abbey (ruins). South Somerset is famous for its gardens - these include East Lambrook Manor, Barrington Court, Tintinhull, Hestercombe and many more.
There is a local public 18 hole golf course at Wheathill, riding stables, swimming pools and the sea at Weymouth is an hour away by train - a very pretty journey.
