Bransdale is one of 11 unique and self-contained cottages in the Hungate Cottage complex, converted to a high standard by this family owned business. The limestone farm buildings from which the Cottages have been converted were built in the mid-18th Century around two courtyards. To approach Bransdale, which overlooks one of the courtyards, you enter past the pear tree and under the old cantilevered flagstones of the original granary steps.

Hungate Cottages are located on the outskirts of the delightful historic town of Pickering. The complex consists of 11 highly individual holiday cottages and has the unique appeal of being a short walk from the town centre, whilst at the same time retaining the tranquillity and peacefulness of the countryside. Pickering itself is right on the doorstep of the Yorkshire Moors and is a short drive from the Roman City of York and the beautiful port towns of Whitby and Scarborough.

Warm welcome to the very original gardener's cottage, rebuilt in 1998 and enlarged to make a really splendid holiday home for a large party. Limestone walls enclose the cottage and its beautiful mature garden to the south. If you wish, you can simply sit and relax with a good book in the sunny paved area just outside. Hungate Garden Cottage has its own driveway and ample parking spaces. It is especially suitable for a disabled person (couple) needing wheelchair access.
