The delightful combination of stone, slate and exposed beams reflects by-gone days of the Old Mill. Log fires or wood burners make it a cosy break all year round. Alternatively chose a detached lodge with picturesque outlook over the wildlife pond, or stunning views across the valley. For the larger party, Forge cottage (sleeps 7) or Ta Mill House (sleeps up to 9)- offering 4 star accommodation and charming Olde worlde tradition. Ta Mill house boasts traditional cornish farmhouse kitchen with slate floor, separate dining room and huge lounge with open fire. Enjoy the games room with table tennis, pool table and darts, gym equipment, pitch 'n' putt, nature trail or relax in the quiet grounds. A choice of one bedroomed cornish cottages - Traditional stone and slate cottages, each with a character of it's own. The delightful combination of stone, slate and exposed beams reflects by-gone days of the Old Mill at Ta Mill. Converted from original 16th Century buildings, they retain some original features and fixtures. Millers cottage is a quaint two storey cottage. Bedroom with sloping beams and ceiling upstairs. Bathroom with bath. Very spacious living area with open plan kitchen and dining area. Exposed beams and cosy woodburner gives abundance character. Olde Granary is a a single storey cottage with french doors leading from double bedroom to patio area. Shower room and seperate bathroom with luxury corner bath. Pump Cottage is a very comfortable hideaway attached to the rear of Ta Mill House with a huge inglenook fireplace. Shower room and bedroom on 2nd storey. Ta Mill and a star called Helen

Words can not explain how lovely this place is.. Helen welcomes you as if it is her home... and it does feel like a home from home, we booked for 1 week, but ended up staying for 2 and moving from Smithy cottage to a lodge for the second week as our other holiday company mucked up our booking!. The veiws and walks are amazing.. and the bliss of no mobile phone coverage (O2) was ideal... I would highly recomend Ta Mill to anyone.. but a car is essential to get around!
We esspecialy loved the table tennis lol.
The pub up the road (you do need to drive or be whilling for a long walk) called the Wilsey Down Hotel gave a walm welcome and good food!. High Force is a short drive away for breathtaking walks and sights.... all in all idealy situated and perfect for a romantic getaway or family break.
Owner's Response: So pleased to get such lovely comments- I hope that everyone who has stayed at Ta Mill remembers it so affectionately. It is a special place hidden away from the hustle and bustle but rest assured it is easy to get to and easy for exploring Devon and Cornwall. I remember the couple well and was pleased to help them out with their second week. Yes, mobile coverage is a problem, but Vodafone works fine. Wish we could get broadband!!
