Set in the pretty moorland village of Ilsington, 2 miles from Haytor Rock, this imaginatively converted ancient stone barn offers very comfortable, spacious accommodation. Enjoying stunning views over a picturesque valley. This unspoilt village has an abundance of thatched cottages along with a local pub serving good home cooking and a small shop. The pleasant town of Bovey Tracey is 3 miles, and the coastal resorts of Teignmouth and Torquay are 15 miles. Golf, fishing and riding locally.

Have just returned from Silver Wood Barn. The accommodation is lovely - very comfortable, spacious, clean, and everything you could need is provided. The location is stunning with views over the valley (which can be enjoyed from the comfort of the sofa!) and the village is very pretty with its thatched cottages and the locals are very friendly. The local pub is a stones throw and serves good pub grub, and the little village shop offered much more than we expected. The location of village is quite rural - perfect for relaxation and beautiful country walks, but the major tourist attractions at Torquay and Paignton are only 30-40 minutes drive. Dartmoor is only 1-2 miles away and the scenery is stunning.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Adventure Seekers, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Romantic Getaway
