Leisure Activities and Wildlife:
Your own boat can be moored at our quay at no extra charge and we also have our own slipway for launching boats and jet-skis.
There is a superb local network of footpaths including the stunning South West Coast Path National Trail.
Excellent fishing is available from our pier and the creek is often full of Sea-Bass.
There is a stunning variety of bird life to be seen along the creek including buzzards, cormorants, egrets, herons, gulls, kingfishers and ducks. Occasionally you may see a seal or even a dolphin.
Between Easter and the end of October Complimentary use of a Motor Boat is provided for the duration of your stay. Or you can, of course, bring your own boat or Jet Ski and moor it to our quay. Explore the wonderful, Helford River tidal estuary or cruise for lunch or dinner at one of the chic, creek-side restaurants and pubs or simply just ‘mess about on the river’.
Gardens and Grounds:
The house is approached off a private lane serving only a few select residences and has its own sweeping driveway leading down to the imposing entrance, double garage and parking area.
The sub-tropical gardens and grounds extend to 2 acres and the extensive lawns gently slope down from the private lane above, to the creek side. At the top end of the garden are Palm Trees, Rhododendrons, Hydrangeas, Azaleas, Camellias, Holly bushes, Roses and Clematis. On 2 sides of the house there is a feature landscaped patio area with a large wooden outdoor table, seating for 20 and 6 sunbeds. There are flower beds on all sides of the house and a large woodland area containing ancient oaks beyond the lane above.
In addition, near the creek side, there is a hidden seating area with a lovely waterfall tumbling down the rocks to the creek.
