Trehanoo house and cottage annexe are situated between Polzeath and Daymer Bay on the beautiful North Cornwall coast, the perfect accommodation to enjoy this famous holiday area. They are minutes from the cliff path leading either to the surfing beach of Polzeath, or the many rock pools of Greenaway, ideal for crabbing, and on to the miles of sand at Daymer Bay, heaven for sandcastles and windsurfing. Trehanoo is only 2 miles from Rock beach for sailing, water skiing, fishing trips and the ferry to Padstow. There are also 2 golf courses within 2 miles, St Enedoc and Roserrow. Trehanoo house accommodates 8 people in comfort and is set in a large garden with beautiful rural views of St Minver and lowlands in the foreground and the Bodmin moor peaks of Roughtor and Brown Willy in the distance. The lawned garden incorporates a terrace and raised decking off the kitchen. The totally separate annexe accommodates 4/5 people and is set in a small, lawned garden with a patio and car park

A very comfortable house with a large sitting room with comfortable seating for 8 and an open fire and a large airy kitchen (recently refurbished) / dining room, American style fridge/freezer with chilled water and ice making. French door out onto the raised decking with views to the moors. As well as the decking you can sit out on the terrace or the lawn. One double room and 3 twins, one newly refitted bathroom - bath with electric shower over and WC and a shower room and WC as well as an outside hot and cold shower. For the extra holiday factor for an extra charge of £12.50 per head, beds can be made up with freshly laundered sheets and a bath sheet and hand towel supplied. The house is centrally heated. The electricity and heating oil are included in the rental. Car parking for 2 or more cars available. Cleaning can also be arranged at an extra charge of £50.

  • Linen is not included in the rental rates, but may be pre-booked: made up beds, bath and hand towel £12.50 per head.
    Cleaning may be pre-booked at £50 but is compulsory in July & August. However if cleaning is not paid but is found to be required, to bring the property back up to standard, a cleaning charge of £50 will be made.
  • A returnable damages cheque of £350 will be required and held and returned after your holiday.
  • The reservation may be cancelled at any time by you giving notice in writing. A 100% cancellation charge will be payable. On receipt of the written cancellation we will endeavour to re-book the annexe and, if successful for the whole or part of the period, will refund the relevant proportion of the money paid less £50.00 (fifty pounds) to cover office administration.

A wonderful all-weather retreat

Our second visit to Trehanoo; after last year's fantastically wet and cold week, the girls all voted to return this year, and at the end of this year's stay, warmer than last year but rainy and with Hale Bay devoid of teenage nightlife, the girls (who had managed to conjure a crowd of friends from thin air each night) agreed it was the best week ever and we all look forward to next year. I like the idea of being able to use the garden to dine in and to recline on those wonderful hammocks but it is a testament to the house that it creates such an amazingly good atmosphere in a wet July!

We have just spent a very enjoyable long weeend in Tranhoo House, there was 8 of us, 4 adults and 4 children and the house was plenty spacious enough all of us, it was very well equiped and maintained and very comfortable and clean. The location was perfect, the walk from the house along the path to the cliff top and the beach was lovely and the warm outside shower was perfect after our mornings body boarding down in Polzeath. Would definately recommend this property.

Living abroad I don't get to see my friends as much as I'd like so decided to take a house in Cornwall to get them out of London and have a good catch up. Trehanoo was perfect. Great location so close to the beach and easily walkable even in wetsuit and with surfboard; also very close both pubs which always helps! The house itself was ideal, when the weather's fine the deck provides a great focal point and the sitting room (with fire) is nice and cosy when the rain comes in. All in all a fantastic break, the weather and watersports conditions even obliged, highly recommended.

I just spent a week in Trehannoo Annexe, which was fantastic - everything I had hoped for. I was alone, in Cornwall to do some outdoor painting, and the annexe provided a cosy haven, perfect for someone alone or in a couple. Everything was very clean and comfortable, especially the bed which was a nice surprise as often holiday accomodation furniture is a bit basic. Very good and straightforward arrangements with owner/ caretakers. Great weather, amazing location near the cliffs, and a short walk to the beach and village. Have recommended my daughter and her surfer boyfriend come too next time!

We have been to Cornwall many times but never to Polzeath until we stayed here. Polzeath is a very beautiful village and has a lovely beach and cliff walks. Padstow is a very pretty town, and we liked Bodmin too, all are within easy reach. We had a lovely short break, and the weather was fantastic. The property had everything we needed, and was comfortable, even though it was a little small. Although this wouldn't put me off visiting it again. Kate Buckingham was very helpful, and arranged everything at very short notice. Definately worth a vist.
Owner's Response: The annexe is best thought of as a spacious and comfortable mobile home, that way it is a lovely surprise! Actually, as long as you're not very big people, it's just really cozy.
