Set in a private courtyard in the centre of the village of Appledore about a 100 metres from the quay. Torridge cottage have two bedrooms & Mole one bedroom. All have a sofa bed. Each cottage is well equipped, and has gas central heating and hot water included in the price. Lands house is a very well equipped 5 bedroom house, containing 2 bathrooms and a shower room. At the end of the courtyard is a walled garden containing palm trees, garden furniture and a BBQ. The village has seven pubs within walking distance, most have restaurants attached. We are happy to get some shopping in for your arrival, if required. Sky Freeview available in all properties.

Appledore is a small fishing village about 3 miles from Bideford & 10 miles from Barnstable. There are many attactive areas in the surrounding countryside Clovelly ,the famous hilly fishing village ,is 10 miles away Lundy Island can be visited by ferry from Bideford. Exmoor is only a short drive away. The Eden Project in Cornwall can be visited in a day.

Golf Breaks: Royal North Devon Golf club is 2 miles away - Saunton Sands some 15 miles away and there are several other clubs in the area. Breaks include rounds of golf and a dinner at the restaurant in one of the pubs in the village. Royal North Devon is the oldest links course in the country with a Par 72 course. Saunton Sands is a very popular course having a West course with a Par 71 and the East with a Par 69. Breaks are for a minimum of two people for two nights, or more. The prices per person range from £ for 18 holes at Royal N Devon and £ at Saunton

Golf: The Royal North Devon links course-Par 72 is about two miles away and Saunton Sands course-West Course Par 69, East Par 71 is about 15 miles. There are several other courses within an hours drive. Fairly spacious 1 bed cottage with nice upstairs. Upstairs is a nice lounge with balcony complete with table and chairs. Bedroom is small but has space for clothes. Ensuite fine but shower screen ineffective so leaks onto carpeted floor and hence gets damp. Downstairs kitchen smelt a bit of damp and crockery in the cupboards smelt of damp. Lovely communal gardens with sunloungers. Central location would be improved if parking was on site. Can park on quay for free and can normally find a spot if you don't mind a bit of a walk back. Don't bother with the local fish and chip shop unless you want to queue for a hour. It is quite possibly the slowest serving fish and chip shop in the world and they are not even very good. Nice walks around headland to Westward Ho, especially if you have a dog. Plenty of dog friendly beaches nearby.
