This small, but beautifully appointed granary is situated in the grounds of a 16th century farmhouse beside the Chart Hills championship golf course in Biddenden. Recently, lovingly refurbished cleverly maximising the available space, downstairs is a studio style living and kitchen area with a stone floor, heated from beneath, two seater sofa, occasional tables and a wall mounted TV/DVD/CD player. Dividing the living area from the high quality kitchen is a granite topped breakfast bar and stools. Please note the beamed ceiling is low - 6'2' - so unsuitable for taller guests. Upstairs the double bedroom is beautifully furnished and has a vaulted, beamed ceiling giving a romantic feel. A glazed door leads to the large balcony with a table and two chairs where you can enjoy the sun. Off the bedroom is the en-suite shower room with a powerful shower, sink unit, wc and heated towel rail.

Standen Granary is situated in the Weald of Kent surrounded by a wealth of history and beauty. Nearby is the famous Leeds Castle, one of the most beautiful castles in the world. Also Hever, Dover and Bodiam castles, wonderful historic mansions and their popular gardens, steam railways, walks along the north downs and Pilgrims Way.. in fact so much that it's hard to list it all! There are several wonderful local pubs and excellent restaurants within a 5 mile radius, London is just over an hour away and Paris can be reached in under 4! Camber sands is our nearest beach, a long stretch of unspoilt coastline near Rye just 20 miles away. And for golfers, Chart Hills is right next door!
