The Old School House is a unique up-side-down property with a large, distinctive, wooden beamed, loft style open plan sitting, dining, and kitchen area on the first floor with views of the River Medina. The ground floor accommodation consists of 3 bedrooms (a double, a twin and a bunk room) and a bathroom with WC, bath and shower. There are two double sofa beds in the sitting room providing additional accommodation for four and a second WC (containing a washing machine) on the first floor. The property is furnished and decorated in a contemporary style with all mod-cons making excellent use of the space available and is situated off the main road in a tranquil setting with off-road parking. The house is ideal as a spacious, practical family holiday home, as a romantic hideaway for a couple or a well-equipped haven for visiting yachtsmen seeking comfort, warmth and somewhere dry!

Situated 100 yds from the mouth the River Medina and Cowes Harbour this property is conveniently located for access to West Cowes High Street with its shops, varied and famous restaurants and bars and the famous West Cowes Yacht Haven all of which can be easily accessed via the floating bridge (small charge for vehicles and free for foot passengers), which only takes 5 minutes. Cowes is famous as one of the World's main yachting centres, with car and high speed passenger ferry access to Southampton. Alternatively the historic Osborne House can be found within 10 mins walk at East Cowes and there is easy access to the rest of the Island by car.

Just wanted to write and say what a lovely time we had at 'The School House'. A fantastic house, a great view and a great location central to the local amenities and within easy access to all the fantastic scenery and tourist activities that the Isle of Wight has to offer. Mr & Mrs DW
