A cot can be supplied with prior notice. 1 family bathroom, 1 shower room and separate toilet en-suite. Large kitchen/diner sits 8 and is equipped with hob, oven, washing machine, fridge, freezer and separate pantry. Lounge with inglenook fireplace with attractive stove with back boiler. Leather settee and armchairs. Recently refurbished. Linen and towels supplied. Secure parking for 3 cars on own car parking area.The house is 300 metres away from amenities, pub,hotel and garage. Local shop is about 5 min drive-larger shop in Niton 7min drive (open early until late). Excellent position for walking to St.Catherines Down, 20min walk, where superb views can be obtained. The nearest safe beach is at Compton 20min drive as well as other beaches along the picturesque west coast called jurassic coast on account of many finds of dinosaurs remains

Chale is in the south of the Isle of Wight. Very unspoilt coastline with views to Freshwater and the Needles. The west coast has been named jurassic coast on account of the many finds of Interesting local history. Chale was notorious for smuggling in the 18th c. and beyond. Nearby is Blackgang Chine with its theme park and smuggling museum. The coast, contains a large quantity of fossils and remains of dinosaurs and it has been named jurassic coast(one whole dinosaur has been discovered complete to be viewed at a near farm on the Military Rd)Newport has a wealth of supermarkets, multiple screen cinema, shops, a Roman villa, and a beauty spa. Ventnor can bereached via the picturesque Under cliff famous with the Victorians. Surrounding area is ideal for walking, cycling, gliding. Compton beach is very safe and a favourite with surfers. Theme parks, flamingo park, zoo are within 25 min drive. Pub, garage and local shop are all within a short walk to the old village and to Chale Green.

Notes to the rental rates

A flat rate of £20.00 will be charged for electricity per week. Non returnable booking fee of £150.00 secures the booking and is deducted from the whole of the rent when this is due two weeks before the rental period starts. A returnable deposit against breakages and damage of £200.00 is due on or before entry. This will be returned within a week of leaving the property. If damage or breakage occur the cost thereof will be deducted from the deposit. Please ensure that on leaving the property it is left clean and in good order, failing which a charge of up to £50 may be levied.

Periods of Stay
Whilst we ask that customers book the property on a weekly basis from Saturday to Saturday during the high season, we also do welcome weekend and long weekend breaks during the quieter periods. For any queries in this regard, please contact us direct on the telephone number provided to check availability and price. Please note that we give the opportunity to the travellers to either leave the house clean and tidy or to pay a cleaning fee at the end of their stay of £50. This option is to be established on entry.
Single occupation and privacy
Please note that the whole of the property shown in the main photograph is included in the rental and it is not shared with others. The cottage is only attached to the rest of the Rectory to the back and it is therefore completely private.
