Photos and Description of this Kent holiday house 4 Bedrooms, 2 bathroom, sleeps 8

Let the beach become your garden. Direct access to miles of natural sandy beaches barely touched by commercialisation. This spacious, family home has been our weekend/holiday bolt hole since we bought it newly built 18 years ago. The large upstairs sitting room with balcony offers uninterrupted views across the Channel instilling a sense of calm and relaxation. Equipped with 42' LCD TV, DVD player and Nintendo Wii plus stereo with Ipod connection. Downstairs, a terrific kitchen/breakfast room provides the hub of the home where everyone can gather to cook the cockles collected or create pictures from the myriad of different shells found on the beach. A small garden at the rear provides outdoor dining for those warmer days but it is the gate directly to the beach that really provides the icing on the cake. For golfers you are only 10 minutes walk away from Littlestone Golf Club with it's links course and 10 minutes drive from Lydd driving range. Free secure WiFi

Greatstone and Littlestone are two relatively small residential areas set within the bay which extends from Folkestone to Dungerness. Backed by Romney Marsh and the Cinque Port of New Romney, the sands extend from one end to the other. The beach front is a combination of sandy beach, shingle sea wall protection and natural sand dunes. During the summer months, the water is gently warmed as it creeps back in over the mile of flat sand allowing for safe and fun bathing. The seaside towns of Hythe and Rye are both within easy driving distance. The town of New Romney offers most shopping requirements whilst just across the road there is a Spar store offering all essentials.

Further details for this holiday house rental in Kent, United Kingdom

Local Attractions: The famous Romney Hythe and Dymchurch, miniature steam train stops less than 1 mile from the house. Trains run all year between Dungerness and Hythe with 'special days' operating throughout the year. These include Thomas the Tank engine days and Santa Specials. Listen out for the toot toot of the whistle as the train steams it way through Romney Marsh. Visit Dungerness and climb to the top of the old lighthouse. On route stop to view the houses at Dungerness built using train carriages as the hub. Check out the cactus garden of the late Derek Jarmen (film director). Take the steam train to Dymchurch and visit the funfair and arcade particularly suitable for younger children. 'Penny Falls' which now swallow 2p coins still provide plenty of excitement for young and old.

Dining and Drinking: An abundance of pubs, restaurants and the famous 'Pilot' fish and chip restaurant are all close by the nearest being the local pub the Seahorse. For serious ale drinkers, we will, with a little prompting, reveal the name and location of a local pub unchanged for nearly 100 years where the words 'ice' and alcopop' do not exist......

Lovely property, peaceful Area- Perfect

Hel's Hen Do Hertfordshire
Review Submitted: October 16, 2009 Date of Stay: September 2009
well, what a lovely beach house, the owner sent through lots of great information about the area and the beach house itself which really was very helpful, the property itself is well kept, and beautifully decorated, it really was like visiting someones home, you relax as soon as you get in there, clean and tidy, kitchen area is great and the lounge upstairs I could of stayed in that lounge for my whole stay it was so cosy! rooms were lovely and bathrooms the same, absolutely spotless and nicely decorated. I wouldn't hesitate to go back to this property as other guests I went with have said the same, there were 9 of us, all women for a relaxing hen weekend- pyjamas was our theme! this was the perfect setting to just chill out, be together and relax in a truly cosy environment and blissful sea view!
we went out for an early supper to the pilot fish restaurant just a short drive away and I had haddock, chips and mushy peas! it was so good! nice restaurant and proper fish and chips!!
Apart from that we didnt venture far as the beach house was all we needed! There is a spar shop directly opposite this property which was great for any last minute things we needed!
The area itself is pretty quiet which was perfect for us to chill and relax, you really do unwind as soon as you get there.
We all had a really lovely weekend, and will definitely be returning here in the future, fantastic value for such a lovely property.
Thanks again for having us, great customer service and a real pleasure to deal with!

Our wonderful weekend at the Beachhouse

Our Weekend Getaway In Kent.

I have just returned from the Beachhouse after a truly fantastic weekend. We chose the house after we (a group of old University friends) wanted a place to catch-up, relax and enjoy the coast.

There were 8 in our party, and everyone loved the house!! As we caught-up over many a Pimms, we moved between the lovely spacious Patio, cosy Sun Room and best of all the lounge and balcony with a great view of the Sea.

The house is so well kept and relaxing, it was hard to leave, however when we did! we took walks down the beach often ending in a pub garden!

The owner was very helpful from day 1, with incredibly prompt replies to emails as the stay drew nearer.

I would definitely recommend this house to anyone looking for a great spot to enjoy the coast with family or friends.

Perfect for a get-away, with Beach strolls, pub gardens and a shop for provisions (namely Pimms).

We will certainily be back! :)

Thank-you.

Owner's Response: I tried to emulate these guests but the Spar store informed me that Pimms was now in very short supply across Kent.......
I would still like to raise my glass albeit empty to Team Pimms!

Beach house gives e real holiday feeling

Dutchvisitor Groningen, Netherlands
Review Submitted: May 17, 2009 Date of Stay: May 2009
The fantastic view from the upper floor is like a dream…
The facilities of the house are fine, such as TV’s, DVD, wifi and the massage shower.
The location is great: the sea, the landscape and villages of Kent and East Sussex, the possibility for a day visit to London. And the shop nearby is very handy!
We liked the style and tasteful interior and objects in of the house.
Fishing at the point of Dungeness gave us a good fishmeal.

xmas 2008

HOOCH KENT
Review Submitted: January 17, 2009 Date of Stay: December 2008
My family plus another family (7 in total) spent our christmas at the beach house which was fantastic. The house was warm and inviting and had everything we needed. We had great walks along the beach( right outside the back gate), which helped after xmas dinner. The beach house is clean and well maintained and would appeal to all ages considering its fantastic location.
The owners supplied us with a beautiful christmas tree which continued to make us all feel at home.
We were all sad to leave the Beach house including the teenagers ,so untill next time.
GREAT LOCATION GREAT VIEWS GREAT HOUSE.
