'Riverside' is a rather special self catering townhouse in probably London's most historic area. London Docklands, close to The Excel Exhibition Centre; Greenwich; The Tower Bridge; The Tower of London and the trendy financial world at Canary Wharf. Set on the banks of the River Thames, the owner has created a warm and inviting family home. Beng a member of the ETC for 7 years now, a 4 star S/C accreditation from the English Tourist Council has been achieved each year. This house provides excellent modern accommodation for up to 6 people. There is FREE WIRELESS INTERNET, PRIVATE PARKING and SATELLITE TV, all included. It sits in zone two of the Central London Underground Network, in a Priivate Square with easy transport options for getting around everywhere in town. EXCEL EXHIBITION CENRE is nearby, as is CANARY WHARF. Use the local Black London taxis, Red London Buses, the Underground or the River bus.   • The rates quoted are for 2 persons staying for a week. Payment can be made by VISA, master card, Euro card, VISA electron, Maestro, Switch, or Solo Credit Cards.
    The Town house is let as one unit, on a self contained, self catering basis, to small groups of tourists or business people. Rates vary for 2 people up to 6 (from £900 up to £1150 for 6 people) and with seasonal demand and number of people in the party, so please ask for a quote. These rates are fully inclusive and also include free parking, wireless, internet and satellite TV.
    The minimum period is 4 nights, with the rent adjusted to cover the changeover costs of cleaning, linens and preparation.
    £200 booking deposit secures the dates and then two months before arrival the balance would be due for payment plus the security deposit which is refundable.
  • Special offer : A 10% DISCOUNT APPLIES EACH MONTH FOR SAME MONTH BOOKINGS where space is free.. Rentals includes the WIRELESS INTERNET; UTILITIES; PRIVATE OFF STREET PARKING AND TAXES. There are no agents fees. Everything is provided for self catering and the house is fully fitted out and well equipped, so you need only bring your clothes and a pair of binoculars!
  • A small refundable security/damaged deposit is requested, this is normally £100 and is refundable after your stay.
    Deposit amount varies with number of people and period of stay.
    Payments by private credit cards are acceptable. Part week bookings are allowed according to availability. 4 nights are the minimum, except for peak times.
    Free off street private parking is provided but not necessary for this central location with 3 local tube stations all part of the central London underground system.

  • The second floor bathroom has ex large double shower enclosure with a power shower. Newly fitted. The third floor has the largest jacuzzi bath we could find with an overhead shower. There is also a bidet, WC and wash basin set in marble, all included in this en-suite bathroom. This bathroom is set behind two double wardrobes which face into the bedroom. At the other end of the room there's a full sized balcony with outside seating overlooking the River Thames and all that is passing thereon. From the double bed you can view the Thames and all that passes. The full balcony has two outdoor comfy chairs and matching table, so you can just sit, sip and watch the world pass by.

  • 3 doubles and one childs cot. This is an ideal location for families or couples. The facilities are awarded by the English Tourist Council who visit each year and have awarded 4****. The property is checked for compliance to new regulations, insurance; decoration, all facilities, over 3 hours before a new 4**** certificate is provided. We have been a member of the ETC for 7 years now, having this 4**** award each year. This year we were vetted on the 15th June 2009 and passed again! Our new 4**** Certificate is provided in the house notes.

Notes: This is a 4 storey family house each floor having river views. The decor is light, airy and modern with 4**** from the English Tourist Council for it's comfort level and facilities. There's ample space from 2 to 6, living in open plan style kitchen - dining - living areas, supported by en suite or next door bathrooms facilities. The top floor bathroom is en suite with large Jacuzzi bath, shower, bidet, wash basin and WC. The second floor bathroom has a large power shower enclosure and a wash basin and WC. The whole of the top floor is the master bedroom with spectacular views from the balcony over looking the River Thames and the 02 ARENA. There's outdoor furniture here for you to relax and enjoy the river views. En suite bathroom with Jacuzzi and bidet. A private suite with own TV.

Private Square location with Spectacular views : The front of the property has suburb River views, there are no passing cars etc., just tranquil tidal waters teaming with fish and wildlife. The occasional passing ship or cruise liner slowly sails by as does the River bus on route to Greenwich or Westminster up river. Catch this at Canary Wharf Pier. The other side of the property has beautiful lawns in a communal Private Square filled with mature rose bushes, lawns, trees and seating, affording the most charming and private of holiday locations. Each house has it's own private parking reservation adjacent, which is included free. EXCEL EXHIBITION CENTRE is very close by and easily accessible by car or train. Other business attractions are the marbled HQ offices of World wide large financial Institutions, located at CANARY WHARF, within easy walking distance of the house. The 02 ARENA is in view across the Thames, easily reachable via local trains. The famous Billingsgate Fish Market is nearby for the best catch of the day!

Restaurants: As would be expected given the close proximity to the City, there are plenty of excellent local restaurants to suit most palates. Nearby Billingsgate Fish Market ensures the very best of seafood which can be frozen in the house freezer, till you want it. An excellent Indian Restaruant is within easy 5 minutes walking distance and WE HAVE NEGOTIATED A 10% DISCOUNT WHEN YOU BOOK FROM THE HOUSE. ALSO, A SECOND INDIAN RESTAURANT NEARBY AT SOUTH QUAY STATION ALSO ALLOWES 10% DISCOUNT TO OUR GUESTS, Plus a 3rd Restaurant. FULL DETAILS AND CARDS TO SHOW ON ARRIVAL, IN THE HOUSE. There is a local supermaket just 5 mins walk from the house which is open from 7.30am until 9.30pm.. Plus, there are lots of local tourist attractions and a superb selection of speciality shops in nearby Canary Wharf. There are landscaped gardens with waterfalls and fountains, a very large selection of eateries and clothing shops. It's a very rich area teaming with financial traders who live and work in the area

Getting around Town: With so much to see, we have excellent transport arrangements. Travelling around town is a breeze, literally. The River Bus operates during commuter hours and there's also the Central London Underground, particularly the Jubilee Line. So one can be wisked off to pastures new, in minutes. The house sits in Zone two of Central London, this is the cheapest zone on the Underground, thus, the cheapest ticket! Greenwich, The Tower of London, The London Arena Concert/Sports Stadium, The Excel Exhibition Complex, Canary Wharf, Tower Bridge are only minutes away. Cars in town aren't to be recommended and simply aren't necessary. Beware the congestion charge of £8.50 per day during business hours. So best leave it at home in our free off street private parking spot outside the property.

We stayed at this charming townhouse in London early this month in July and found it to be all that we wanted it to be. Everything was well presented, we had documented information on local restaurants and the various travel options around town. Christine was very helpful and getting there was very easy with her directions. The welcome pack included foods for our children which was much appreciated.
We enjoyed most of the sights and have to return to complete the job as there is simply so much to explore. Certainly we would be like to return to "Riverside" as it represents an easy, comfortable and quiet location plus very good value for our money. Would certainly recommend it to others.

Business Trip to London

I stayed at this charming London townhouse during May of this year. It was my second visit as I have found it to be comfortable and convenient. There were 4 of us in total and we all agreed that this quiet location was ideal for our purpose. We just walked to our Clients offices each day and took advantage of the discounted restaurant deal in the evenings.
I would certainly recommend this rental to others who were wanting a central and comfortable base whether they be there on business or pleasure. The owner Christine is very easy to deal with and everything has been just as she said it would be.

Romantic break in the Capital

My husband and I had a very good holiday in London recently. We found this house on the net and were very pleased to find that it was better than we expected. The house was clean, modern and bright. Well organised and everything was provided. The river provided us with constant fascination and interest that on occasion we just went out later in the day.
Canary Wharf was a short walk away and we travelled around town using our Oyster cards, which are excellent value. Late one night we came home on the bus from Leicester Square, everywhere was quite safe and the bus dropped us off right outside the Square in about 10 minutes travel time. The 02 Arena is a must even if you just want to eat at one of the restaurants there and feel part of everything.

Generally, we did the sights but would still like to return and would hope to stay at the lovely townhouse on the River Thames. Would certainly recommend it to others, its quiet, convenient for everywhere and being situated in a private square there was no busy traffic or fumes. Bliss!

Having a good time in London!

We stayed here during the first week of June 09 and had a wonderful time! The house is clean and fresh, very well organised for 6 people and has everything you would need. Indeed, the owner Christine had thought of everything to make our stay a very happy one. We walked to Canary Wharf at all hours which was easy and safe. Ample places to shop and eat nearby though. We used the underground our entire stay and it was good and cheap :) The view of the 02 Arena right across from the house was magical as was the balcony view of the passing ships. We had a great time and would surely return. We would certainly recommend this lovely townhouse to others.

We had a wonderful time at Riverside and exploring London. One highlight was a matinee at the Globe to see "As you Like it". we walked the Thames path just about everyday, went to the Tate Modern, the National Portrait Gallery, were impressed with Canary Wharf,my sister and brother in-law remember the old docklands so it amazed them. we also walked Regents Park along the canal to Camden Locks. Saw the City and places we had worked, St.Pauls, the Tower, Trafalgar Sq.
and so many more places that we could fit in. It was indeed good to return each day to a comfortable welcoming place to rest. We can certainly recommend Riverside as a good place to stay and if we can return to London in the future we will hope to stay there.
