Location: : Highlands Reserve is located just of US Highway 27, 3 miles south from the US 192 (W. Irlo Bronson Highway) the main route into Disney World. Although all the main theme parks and attractions are only a short driving distance away, when you drive into Highlands Reserve Blvd. you enter peaceful surroundings with tree-lined boulevards, an abundance of orange groves, oaks and pine trees, tropical landscaped gardens in traditional Floridian style, and picturesque golf course as it’s centre piece. There is a large supermarket (Publix) just a few minutes drive away and a selection of local shops and take-away restaurants (Chinese and Italian) in the same complex.
Recreation Information: : The 18 hole golf course also offers a driving range, practice green, cart and club hire, pro shop and snack bar. Along with the Highlands Reserve community children’s playground, community swimming pool and a tennis court, our guests also have free use of the Regal Palms Leisure Complex which is located at the Sand Mine Road entrance into Highlands. The tropical pool area has been open since July 2004, the Sports Bar & Restaurant, games room, Internet facilities and the 24 hour check-in reception opened in December 2004. The Spa & Health suite with an exercise room and a full range of beauty treatments opened in November 2005. There are many other golf courses in the area, all open to the public and only a short drive away. All the theme parks, shopping malls and restaurants are very easy to drive to, and for those wanting to go a little further Busch Gardens, Tampa and Kennedy Space Centre, Cape Canaveral are only 60 and 70 miles away respectively.
Additional Information: : On a personal note, while we were jointly purchasing our holiday home with my brother and his family our ‘wish list’ was quite long and intense. We never dreamt we would meet and exceed all our expectations, but we did. Highlands Reserve had everything we were looking for and to find the perfect villa as well we couldn’t believe our luck. Having travelled extensively around the USA ourselves we know how important picking the right accommodation is for making a vacation a truly successful and memorable one. Using our own experiences we have put a lot of thought and work into making our vacation home as comfortable as possible to ensure our guest enjoy their stay.
