Emerald Island holiday bungalow: Emerald Isle

I've stayed in villas in Orlando several times, but this has to be the best so far. It is situated very close indeed to Disney. You will read in some guide books that it can be a good idea to leave the theme parks and retire to your villa during the midday heat. It's unattractive if it's a 45min drive each way, but at this villa it was perfectly feasible and we did a couple of return visits to the parks during our stay.
The Emerald Island resort is superbly maintained and the reception staff are both friendly and helpful. Numerous shops and restaurants are close by, but we had take-aways delivered a couple of times ( always remember to carry a stock of one-dollar bills to tip drivers and everyone else in sight ).
Only negative point was that the pool temperature was set a little too hot and after a couple of days, I had to call the managing agent about it. He turned up in thirty minutes and fixed the problem in five. When he came I confessed that I had broken the glass coffee perculator pot by dropping it in the sink, but he just shrugged, said " No problem" and replaced it free of charge.
You must visit the twenty-four hour Wal-Mart store which is just down the road ( coffee perculators - fifteen dollars ). This is a huge store selling absolutely everything and the adverts say you can return something you buy there to a UK Asda store if you change your mind ( not that I've tried it ).
This villa ticks all the boxes - great accomodation, great location and five-star resort. I will definitely be going back to this villa soon !
