This perfect holiday home and location in Hunters Creek, Orlando is less than 10 minutes drive from Disney's main gate. It has its own pool and spa that is not overlooked at the rear. The house is beautifully furnished, well equipped and fully air-conditioned. The private pool areas are screened so you can sunbathe and dine al fresco without being bitten by nasties! Two children’s playgrounds, BBQ area, tennis, basketball courts woodland walks. Within 5 mins walk there are numerous restaurants & shops to include a 24 hour giant supermarket. The villa backs onto a lake where you can make use of large canoe and enjoy the fishing.

The villa is a short drive from the 417 toll road. Ten mins drive to Disney’s main gate. It is also within short driving distance to numerous Orlando attractions such as Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure, M.G.M, Epcot, Seaworld, Blizzard Beach, Typhoon Lagoon, Wet & Wild etc. There are several superb Golf courses nearby including the Palms and Orange Lake among others. Within walking distance Hunters Creek Golf course and many others.

Notes: This house is single storey & has a neat front garden & driveway leading into a large double garage. One enters through the front door into a tiled area that runs into a spacious lounge with high ceilings. The lounge is carpeted & furnished with 1 sofa, large coffee table, T.V. video, stereo and telephone (local calls are free). The dining area has a large dining table. There is a patio & poolside furniture. The kitchen is fully equipped with every convenience & has a breakfast table. One further bedroom is located to the rear of the house including Master bedroom that has its own TV. En-suite off master b/room has twin sinks, toilet, shower & large walk-in closet.

Things to do.: There are numerous fine restaurants serving steak, chicken, pasta, seafood, oriental dishes etc. (some in huge portions!). Because the properties are so close to Disney you can easily leave the park (remembering to have your hand stamped - it's invisible and doesn't shower off) and then return to Disney later than evening (free of charge) for the night time parade and fireworks show. There is also very easy access to The Wild West Show, American Gladiators, Arabian Nights and numerous other dinner shows. For those who have not completely exhausted themselves during the day visiting the theme parks, Citywalk where there are several shops, bars and restaurants and Pleasure Island featuring 7 clubs, live bands, street parties, dancing, fireworks and a New Years Evening Party every night are only a short drive or taxi ride away.

Hunters Creek, Orlando villa

We stayed in the villa from 7-21 May 2009. The villa is very modern and situated close to both John Young Parkway and the Orange Blossom Trail so getting out and about is quick and easy (you do need a car!). We did rent a satnav and this was a real help as the roads in downtown Orlando can be confusing and US maps aren't as detailed as UK Ordnance Survey maps.

The carpets and furniture are new and the property is light and airy with good air conditioning. It also has a lovely pool, we paid extra for pool heating and it was well worth it! Being able to float in lovely warm water after a busy day was so relaxing.

The property is extremely well equipped. As well as a hammock, parasols, canoe and other garden furniture, there are dvds, books, and all sorts of kitchen equipment such as a juicer, coffee maker and and excellent selection of sharp knives and other culinary things which you don't often find in rented properties.

There are masses of towels, both beach and bathroom as well as plenty of spare bedding. It's just like being at home!

The lake at the back of the villa is very large and you can see pelicans, herons, ducks, squirrels and loads of other birds that I couldn't identify. One was bright red all over!

The property was spotlessly clean and I would certainly recommend it.

We enjoyed visiting restaurants on International Drive. Miller's Bar is very good value and has loads of screens showing sports. It's also busy with a good atmosphere and has daily menu offers . Wednesday is a whole lobster plus sides for $15. Excellent value!

We also went to BB Kings R&B bar. There is an entry fee of around $5 but at weekends they have live acts (R&B bands) so it well worth a visit if you like that kind of music.

Harry P Lui Gardens and house are a nice place to visit, but by May many of the plants have already flowered so time your visit for earlier in the year.

We watched the shuttle launch from Cocoa Beach (about 55 miles from the villa) which was extremely exciting. The beach is lovely but you do need a parasol as it gets very hot. We went to the beach on several days and took the beach chairs with us from the garage.

All in all, a wonderful varied holiday. Near to beaches, theme parks, wonderful restaurants and some fantstic discount shopping too!
