Our Southern Dunes Holiday

We arrived at the Villa and were very happy to see a beautiful clean home. Every amenity described in the listing was there waiting for us. Even the dining room table was set as if we were expected for dinner. When we picked up the key we were met with a friendly welcome and were told anything we needed at any time to just let them know.
We would and have recommended the Villa to our friends, specially if they are looking for a central location in Florida. Perfect for families wishing to go to the various attractions which are close by, e.g. Disney World, Universal Studios, Sea World, Cypress Gardens just to mention a few.It is wonderful to have a comfortable home base to come back to after being on the go all day.
The Southern Dunes Golf Course surrounds the Community of Homes. Their Club House is an excellent choice for breakfast, lunch and dinners and within walking distance. Their menu provides a good variety of meals and they are reasonably priced. Sunday mornings they serve a wonderful buffet breakfast.
Whether you are looking for a vacation filled with visiting the area's attractions, or just want to sit back and relax in the Florida sunshine, this is the home for you. We ate most of our meals outside in the lanai. We enjoyed relaxing by the pool and every now and then having a swim.
To the south is The Bok Tower, a beautiful area to walk through while listening to its Bell Tower. A lovely way to spend a Sunday and to walk off that buffet you ate at the Club House.
Also about 10 minutes south is Eagleridge Mall, a good size Mall. There is a Winn Dixie Grocery Store at the Entrance to Southern Dunes as well as a Super Walmart which also has groceries.
If you are looking for a 9 Hole Golf Course, just for fun and practise, try Lake Bess. It is about 20 minutes south on Hwy 27, then right onto Cypress Gardens Blvd. until you get to Lake Bess Drive, then left to the Golf Course.
If you like Italian Food, try Carrabbas. Also you will find an Applebees, Chilli's, Olive Garden, Red Lobster further along on Cypress Gardens Blvd. All serve good meals. Bob Evans has two restaurants one 10 minutes north on Hwy 27 just before I-4 and another one on Hwy 27 just past the Eagleridge Mall. There are many other restaurants to choose from as well.
We were very pleased with our stay in the Villa and it is without hesitation and with pleasure that we write this reference.
