Free FIOS HDTV, high speed internet, free phone calls within USA. The street is quiet and safe (no thro-traffic). Recently re-modeled to a very high standard with everything that you could need. Landscaped garden and beautiful views over a nature reserve and salt water creek. Boat access to the Gulf from the private dock. Only a few minutes from many golf courses and the white sandy Gulf Coast beaches. The cathedral ceilings make it bright and open. It has a well-appointed modern kitchen. The large master bedroom with its fabulous en suite bathroom and tray ceiling has direct access to the pool area and is placed on the opposite side of the house to the other bedrooms, which gives peace, quiet and privacy. The pool has a removable safety fence.

The house is located on the Gulf Coast, 1 hour from both Tampa and Fort Myers airports and less than 2 hours from the theme parks in Orlando (4 Disney Parks, Sea World, Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure, 4 Water Parks, the opportunity to swim with dolphins, night clubs etc.) The area offers everything imaginable for the discerning holiday maker from white sandy, award winning, beaches to art galleries, theaters, excellent restaurants, nature reserves, wildlife, and outdoor sports. All of this can be enjoyed in the sunshine with average 75° temperatures. Additional information about rental rates

  • !!!!!!!!!! All prices already show a reduction of 20% !!!!!!!!!! Two week minimum booking. Arrival after 16:00pm and departure before 10:00am. Payment can be in £ UK pounds sterling, Euro or US$ dollars.
  • A booking/security deposit of £300 is required for all bookings. 25% of the rent is paid 120 days before arrival and 75% is paid 60 days before arrival. $100 electricity is included in the rent per month (i.e. $50 for 2 weeks). Any excess electricity and a fixed charge of $125 for 'normal' cleaning, washing of sheets + towels and bed making at the end of each rental is deducted from the security deposit. Prices do not include 12% local sales tax and are subject to change prior to a confirmed booking. Only three rentals per year can be less than one month long.
  • Cancellations are charged a minimum of £300, the balance being refundable only if a suitable replacement booking is secured for the same period. in other words, no cancellation refunds are made unless a suitable replacement booking is made for the same period and the $500 cancellation charge is always retained.

Fishing and Boating Paradise!: You can enjoy the luxury of fishing and boating from your own private dock in the back garden. The community boat dock and ramp is 200 meters from the front door. This allows you access from the doorstep to the deep sea fishing and all other boating pleasures of the Gulf within 15 minutes ( at idle boat speed) .

Thrill and bargain seekers!: For the thrill seeker Busch Gardens, Tampa is less than hour's drive away with the full selection of parks at Orlando (4 Disney Parks, Sea World, Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure, 4 Water Parks, the opportunity to swim with dolphins, night clubs etc.) just one and a half hours away .

The shopaholics are also well catered for with Designer Outlet Malls at Ellenton 25 minutes away and the designer shops at the St Armand's Circle even closer.

Flying and biking fans !: Venice Municipal Airport is less that 10 minutes away, offering rental and instruction possibilities for private pilots. The airport's central position on the Gulf Coast makes this a wonderful base to explore Florida and the Bahamas by small plane with countless airfields to visit, most of which will gladly provide a courtesy car for a couple of hours at no cost!

The Gulf Coast has a well developed network of bike paths for cycling enthusiasts. In particular you have direct access to the Legacy Trail (a converted railway line) just round the corner in Laurel Road which then takes you directly to the Oscar Scherer State Park in a few minutes by bicycle.

Golf:

There is a set of ladies golf clubs in a golf bag available at the house and Calusa Lakes Golf Course only 3 minutes away! Florida's Gulf Coast is a golfer's dream. Within the greater Sarasota area there are 44 golf courses all beautifully presented with stunning water and sand features. In the immediate Venice area there are 6 excellent golf courses.

Venice waterfront villa,Nokomis

The property was every bit as good as the description and photos on the web site and was very clean and comfortable.
Access to local area beaches was very good and there were several good restaurants not far away particularly the Crows Nest at Venice Jetty where we also saw dolphins and manattee most evenings. We even saw a manattee swimming down the creek at the bottom of the garden!
Boat hire was available from Nokomis at the boatyard on the Intracoastal waterway.
We have been to Florida 11 times and this was easily the best house we have ever rented and we will be back one day.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, People with Disabilities
Owner's Response: We are delighted to hear that manattees are still coming up the creek to the house! With the nature reserve on the other side of the creek there is always some interesting wildlife to see looking out over the garden from the pool.
We are pleased that everybody enjoys our piece of paradise!

Floridian paradise!

Rod and June's gorgeous house is in a fantastic location. Very close to the classic floridian attractions - beaches and shopping malls - but also very tranquil with serene views over the creek. No need to go visit wildlife parks - you can watch the wildlife from pool-side. We found there was something in the area for everyone. We enjoyed the shopping and a visit to the Busch Gardens themepark but were also amazed by the beautiful historic John Ringling Mansion and art gallery in nearby Sarasota. Plan a long trip because there is a lot to see and do - although you may find it difficult to drag yourself away from your holiday home - it's so comfortable!
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Girls Getaway, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway

great time

We had a fantastic time. The villa was great, clean well maintained and in a great location. The view over the water was great and so was the fishing. We are hopefuly going back this Novembe 2008.. It is in a great location, with everything you need on your doorstep. The beaches are great and the eating places are abundant. It is so close to the I.75 and easy to locate. The layout of the villa is great if you are sharing.

2006 vacation

very nice area,quiet and personal.
All facilities as advertised and good communication with owner.Villa is suitable for small families , clean and attractive with nice outlook over shakett creek.
Ideal location for visiting the area, near to most shopping ,beach was close by,not walkable.
Directions from Tampa were precise and accurate,takes about 1hr.20 minutes.
Best restaurant was a mexican restaurant called Mi Peublo which was in north Englewood.
Super Walmart and Target Greatland very close,5 mins by car.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Sightseeing, Families with Young Children

Best Florida Vacation ever

We loved this house. Its very roomy and has a nice sitting area where you can watch at the canal behind the house. The poolarea is very nice also and you can sit outside and have a BBQ even when its raining.
The masterbedroom und masterbathroom are very big and are at the leftside of the building. So its possible to watch TV and being in the living room without disturbing people who might want to take a nap.
Also the Garage is perfect for people with a big family, because you can park your Minivan inside without any problems (we had a Grand Voyager so we know what we are talking about). The washing machine and dryer are good and you can wash even sensitive cloth.

If you want to stay at home one evening its no problem. You will have a big kitchen with everything in it and a TV with everything on it.

I think its fun to go to the canal behind the house but we didn`t tryed that out.
So finaly a just want to give 5 thumbs up.
