Near Disney & Bush Gardens: Venice Florida is located in Southwest Florida, about 10 miles south of Sarasota, Florida along the shoreline of the Gulf of Mexico. Small in size but large in charm, the city of Venice Florida features a charming tree lined town filled with boutique shops, antique stores, coffee shops and cafes. . Activities nearby include beach, golf, swimming, boat and jet ski rental, para sailing, and fishing from the Venice Florida pier. Other close activities include Spring Major League Baseball, bowling, more golf, putt-putt golf, tennis, movies, museums, shopping malls, library, etc. Venice Florida is best known for its pristine white beaches (which include Casperson Park, Nokomis Beach and Brohard Park) and the prehistoric shark’s teeth that can be found here. Venice is 15 miles south of Sarasota. It is just a wonderful location. Close to Busch Gardens in Tampa Florida. 1 ½ hours from Walt Disney World Florida, Sea World Florida, and Universal Studios in Orlando Florida.

Seafood Restaurants: Today, the city of Venice Florida has many fine amenities, including a yacht club, community center, community theater and professional dinner theater, an art center, library and many fine restaurants. One great seafood restaurant (Sharkeys) is only a short drive away. Sharkey's is next to the Venice Florida pier and is great for watching the sunset and hearing live guitar music. It is really fun. Also, the home is walking distance to the cute Venice Airport (small airplanes only). There is a very fun restaurant called the Aerosquadron restaurant. Down town Venice has great specialty shops, fabulous seafood restaurants and a great community theatre. Sarasota Florida is only 15 minutes away by car.

Activities: Activities nearby include beach, swimming, boat and jet ski rental, para sailing, and fishing from the jetty. Other close activities include baseball, bowling, golf, putt-putt golf, tennis, movies, museums, shopping malls, library, etc. Beach house is located is close to lots of shopping and dining alternatives. (Also, Venice has a Wal-mart and major grocery stores to stock up supplies. There is even a great Gold's Gym if you like working out.)
