Welcome to our beautiful Florida Villa which is situated on a wide fresh water canal with lovely gardens in SE Cape Coral. The screened pool with detachable child’s safety mesh fence overlooks the canal and gardens with access to the pool and lanai (patio) from four rooms plus one bathroom via sliding patio doors. These doors have child proof alarms. The villa with it's 2200 sq ft living area is built to a split room design ideal for 2 families and comprises 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, open plan kitchen with breakfast bar, 2 dining areas, large family room and lounge. The villa is single story with cathedral ceilings, 3 years old, and privately owned with easy wheelchair access. New furniture has been recently purchased for most of the villa. If you don't want to venture out the property is ideal for a quiet holiday in a gorgeous private setting. You can sit on the dock and enjoy the peaceful tranquillity of the canal, fish off the dock, or kayak in the canal. 2 cycles are provided.

Our villa is located is SE Cape Coral on a freshwater canal. Cape Coral benefits from 400 miles of freshwater and saltwater canals. You can fish from the private dock. Water activities like boating, fishing, swimming, canal sightseeing and sunbathing are all easily available. You can visit the beaches at Ft Myers Beach and Sanibel Island or make your way down the coast to Bonita Beach and the state parks. Further down is Naples and the everglades where you can view the alligators and other magnificent wildlife. All within easy access of our villa. Near the villa are Mike Greenwell's Fun Park and Sun Splash Water Park. Great family fun places. It is a 3 hour drive to the famous Disney World and associated attractions. Use us as a base or split your holiday. During February and March Fort Myers host the Red Sox and Twins major league baseball teams. Cape Coral has numerous restaurants and fast food outlets to suit every taste. Bars, supermarkets, and famous retail stores are nearby.

Notes: The facilities are exceptional. Everything you would require is there for you. The master bedroom has a queen bed, direct access to the linai and pool, and canal view. It has a luxurious en-suite bathroom with deep bath, separate shower, and twin sinks. Bedroom 2 has a queen bed and direct pool access. Bedroom three has twin beds. There is a Futon for extra sleeping. A bathroom with pool access is adjacent to bedrooms 2 and 3.All bedrooms are carpeted, quality furnished, and have walk-in wardrobes. The large open plan kitchen has a large breakfast bar with four stools and dining area with direct access to the pool. All kitchen appliances, cookware, dishes and cutlery are provided. The kitchen opens into the large family room with Cable TV, DVD, and stereo. The separate lounge is elegantly furnished with direct pool access and leads into a superb dining area with a beautiful chip edge glass table and 6 high back chairs. A separate laundry room has washing machine, dryer and sink.

Feedback: Mary. Rather late but realised that I hadn't thanked you both for allowing us to stay in your beautiful home. It was wonderful, sheer bliss and absolute heaven. It was just perfect, when we arrived all our needs were catered for and oh how lucky you are to have such wonderful caring neighbours in Marilyn and Larry. Please pass on our thanks once again to them for making us feeling so welcome and helping us out when my husband and daughter were taken poorly. My only regret is not hiring a boat it was so peaceful it would have been heaven to sail up and down the canals. Tammy: We just arrived home late last night but I wanted to email right away. Your house is just beautiful and fantastically comfortable and we all enjoyed every minute of our holiday (aside from having to leave!) The weather was just perfect too.

Muriel - This was the perfect villa to relax in on holiday. It was spacious and immaculate. The pool was ideal for the whole family and the boys made good use of the kayak. My husband and sons used the fishing gear and fished off the dock being lucky enough to catch a huge fish! We visited Sanibel and Captiva Islands from here. Yhank you so much for providing us with a lovely home from home.

Life doesn't get any better than this

Fourteen days of perfect bliss. Everything about this villa was first class, we switched off completely, we were so relaxed we didn't even know that the clocks had altered and we spent our whole holiday living an hour behind the rest of Florida.

The pool was heavenly and there was nothing better than sitting on the dock at the end of the day with a glass of something cool watching the birds, turtles, fish and on one occasion an otter.

If you like to relax on holiday you won't do better than this.

First Class Vacation At Cape Coral Villa

We escaped the cold weather of Janury by spending three weeks at Doug's and Diana's lovely Cape Coral villa. We had never rented a house before and weren't sure what we were getting into. Well, it was great--one of the best vacations we've ever had. The house had all the comforts of home and was aptly located so that we could take day trips to the many interesting sites on the southwest coast of Florida. Lounging on the lanai was so relaxing and we also enjoyed breakfast, lunch and romantic candlelight dinners out there! It was a bit too cool to enjoy the swimming pool but Tom did do a few laps just to say he did. We're definitely planning a return visit next year and hopefully for more than three weeks! Thank you, Doug and Diana, for opening your villa to us.

Our best vacation ever was our summer in Florida

Thanks for letting us rent your fantastic house in Cape Coral, its cleanliness and well taken care of, made a huge contribution to a fantastic summer in Florida 2008 for our family. Besides many hours in the pool and on the patio, the father and son had great fun on the canal using the kajak. Your house served as a great base for driving to e.g. the Everglades where we held an alligator and went Airboating...and of cause multiple trips to the mall and Sanibel Island.
We have great memories with us from Florida, and the good experience with renting this house is of high contribution to this.
