In a peaceful lakeside setting our tastefully furnished and well equipped villa with private, electrically heated, pool is situated at Beachwalk Isles which is a small gated community just a 5 minute drive from the superb white sandy beaches of Fort Myers and the unspoilt islands of Sanibel & Captiva. The Everglades National Park is also within easy reach. Our luxurious home is ideally placed, just a couple of minutes drive from a choice of supermarkets, pharmacies, banks, post office and restaurants to suit all tastes and pockets. For retail therapy, there are shopping malls and a factory outlet just a short drive from Beachwalk isles. There are also theatres, a sports stadium and cinemas in Fort Myers. There are activities to suit all including numerous first class golf courses, crazy golf courses, various water sports, boat hire, fishing and the Florida favourite - shell collecting. There are international airports at Ft Myers, Miami, Tampa and Orlando.

Ft Myers beach stretches 7 miles down Estero Island, from the lively area around the pier to Lover's Key at the southern end and there is a trolley bus service which runs the length of the island . Key West, the most southerly point in the States, is easily reached by the daily boat service from Ft Myers. The villa is equally close to the causeway giving access to the unspoilt islands of Sanibel and Captiva. Sanibel is the home of J N Ding Darling Nature Reserve - perhaps hiring a bike to enjoy the wildlife at close quarters. It is possible to reach Boca Grande and the small island of Cabbage Key by boat from Capita and sunset cruises are also popular, as well as dolphin watching and catching a glimpse of the gentle and elusive manatee. Worth a visit are the riverside winter homes of Thomas Edison and Henry Ford, especially magical at Christmas. There are many beachside and waterfront restaurants to enjoy in the area as well as the well-known chains and family diners.

Notes: Our lovely lakeside home is furnished to a high standard and equipped with everything needed for a relaxing holiday. Its vaulted ceilings give it a light airy feel, with ceiling fans in addition to full air conditioning. In addition to the three bedrooms and two bathrooms, there is an open-plan living room which provides for formal dining and has a comfortable sitting area leading to the pool deck with views of the lake beyond. The living room is equipped with stereo system, DVD/VCR and flat screen TV(cable). The good size kitchen has a smooth top range, built-in microwave, dishwasher, waste disposal and large 2-door fridge freezer with ice and water dispensers. There is a separate laundry room with large washing machine and tumble drier, and space for airing clothes. The sunny south-facing pool deck has a shady lanai and is perfect for spotting osprey and anhingas, amongst other visitors to the lake. There are 4 sunloungers, and a dining table seating 6 for alfresco meals.

Fantastic Stay

Just returned from a wonderful 10 days. We would highly recommend this home. Large south facing deck, well layed out internal accommodation and gives easy access to everything in beatiful South West Florida (we even did Disney in 2.5hrs).
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children

Fun in the Sun

As frequent visitors to Fort Myers, the location and facilities of this property are first class. The villa is equipped to a high standard and is centrally located for all of Fort Myers many attractions. Sun is almost guaranteed and the many beaches are perfect for families. There are a vast array of restaurants to choose from and lots of good shopping! The gated community in which this villa is located is very safe and quiet and you can walk to several large supermarkets should you not have a car. Close by are the very pretty islands of Sanibel and Captiva which are well worth a visit. We will definately be returning to this villa and Fort Myers as soon as possible.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Adventure Seekers, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, People with Disabilities

A lovely villa in a very peaceful and relaxing area. Very clean and well maintained inside and out. Within walking distance of target supermarket and also a lovely ice cream parlour where you can get coffee and lots of different breads. Obviously a car is needed to get to different beaches and shopping outlets but we found the driving very relaxed. We would certainly return to this villa and area.
