Dinan is a spectacular ancient river port. The old ramparts, castle and cobbled streets give the town a great atmosphere, with self catering accommodation and gites huddled close inside the walls. The town must be explored on foot or on the Petit Train which runs through the town. It is not a particularly lively town, and for bars and nightlife, head towards Guincamp, home of the basilica of Notre Dame de Bon Secours.
