The cottage at Pempoul is situated in a small hamlet of 3 houses it being the last one. It has a very private south facing position looking onto the beautiful open countryside of Central Brittany. The cottage is spacious and well equipped. Comprising: Large conservatory leading onto the front or onto the pool area at the side. Off the conservatory is one of the 2 shower rooms. From the conservatory into a large lounge / dining room with Bretton fireplace .There is a separate kitchen with all facilities, Utility room and toilet. Upstairs is the second shower room one double bedroom and one twin bedroom. Outside is the swimming pool with exclusive use to the people renting the cottage. It is 5m x 10m and heated. The pool cover can be rolled back to half way allowing you to swim in the open air or if the weather is not too good, the cover can be kept on still enabling you to swim inside. At the front of the cottage is a large lawn and patio, Ideal for the children to play.

Pempoul is situated in the country side but within easy reach of the villages of Locarn & Mael- Carhaix, both having basic amenities. Rostrenen & Carhaix- Plouger having large supermarkets & many good resteraunts. Nearby are the lakes of Glomel & Guerledan providing water sports and swimming. If you like walking it is an ideal place with many tracks & close by the Nantes to Brest cannal. The beautiful coast lines of Brittany are within 1hour to 1hr.30 drive. The north coast with its famous pink granite & lovely old villages, the west coast which is very rugged & to the south coast with its sandy beaches. Or you can explore the beautiful countryside of central Brittany with its many old towns and villages.

  • All rental prices are inclusive of wood, heating, electric &gas. The pool season starts from the 1st may to 30th September. The pool can be heated for the October half term but at an extra charge. All bookings are confirmed on receipt of a 25% deposit.

Notes: The cottage is comfortably furnished. The beds have English pillows and quilts. Linen is provided and a change is offered if staying for 2 weeks or more. Towels can be provided for anyone who is coming by aeroplane for an extra charge of 15 euros or £10. The cottage has central heating for those coming out of season. It is not needed in the summer. Logs are supplied at no extra charge all year round. Satellite TV giving BBC1&2 ITV, CHANNEL 4 & 5 and various other channels. The owners live 1 mile away and call each morning and evening to open and close the pool cover. So if any help is need we are there.

New Activities in the Area: New to Carhaix-Plouger this year is an indoor go-carting arena and a ten pin bowling alley. Also there is now a 6 hole golf course and a driving range. Carhaix is approx 15 mins drive from the cottage.
