General information :
Our Cottage is approx 200 years old and set in a hamlet of just 7 dwellings and a farm. At the front of the cottage is a stone patio area followed on by the garden which is ideal for outside dining in the summer months. The entrance to the cottage is on the edge of the hamlet and at the end of the garden. There is a country lane at the end which is the route for the farmer with his tractor to the fields behind the cottage.
The garden is large with lawn & trees and a small rope swing in one of the trees which children like to play on. We also have a tennis net, bats n balls etc… which you can put up too. The patio area is a real sun trap and is the ideal place to relax with some cheese & wine and hear virtually nothing except the farmers tractor go by from time to time.
Cottage facilities:
Living Kitchen Area – A pleasant room dominated by a large granite fire place with wood burner. It has two sofas, TV/Video combi with UK channels, dining table & four chairs and boxes of Lego & Duplo to occupy children.
The kitchen area is fitted with modern units and has a gas cooker, microwave, fridge, kettle, and radio/CD player.
The stairs are open plan and quite steep (as often found in French houses). A child’s stair gate is at the foot of the stairs for children’s safety.
Bathroom. Is tiled and fitted with a shower, wash basin and toilet.
Bedroom 1. At the top of the stairs is the double bedroom with a pine double bed and bedside tables, a small wardrobe and small table with a mirror. It has Parisian “Dorma” windows which look out onto the hamlet. This leads through to:-
Bedroom 2. Has three single pine beds, bedside tables, and a wardrobe. Again the window looks out onto the hamlet. All beds have duvets and English style pillows. You will need to provide your own.
