Set in three acres amongst WOODLAND and ROLLING HILLS , the special atmosphere of this PRIVATELY OWNED HAMLET guarantees you a relaxing and carefree holiday.

Each DETACHED COTTAGE(gite) has its original farmhouse features with huge granite fireplaces, massive oak beams & lovely old country furniture. The cottages are all very different & each has its own PRIVATE GARDEN, terrace and BBQ area. The cottages are ideal for GROUPS of 2, 4, 6 or 8.

Alternatively, ENJOY THE LUXURY of renting EXCLUSIVE USE of the whole hamlet for GROUPS of UP TO 30. One of the dining rooms can be rearranged so everyone can eat together. In the grounds, there is a 11m x 7m secure HEATED POOL with huge sunbathing deck. There is a large play area with TRAMPOLINE (with safely net), swings, sandpit, boules, climbing net, table tennis, badminton, golf net & GAMES ROOM. The hamlet is EXTREMELY CHILD FRIENDLY & parents can relax, knowing their children are safe to play freely without supervision. WiFi access.

The hamlet is ideal for large groups of up to 30 people. Enjoy the privacy of your own cottage whilst having exclusive use of the hamlet's facilities and swimming pool with family and friends. Renting the hamlet is great fun, having the whole place to yourselves. In total, there are five cottages: Le Cidre: sleeps 4 in one double bedroom, one twin bedroom. Le Puits (not shown - please see our website for more details, see link at bottom of this page): sleeps 6 in one double, two twins. Maison Principal: sleeps 6 in one double, two twins. L'Ecuire: sleeps 6 in one double, two twins. La Mairie: sleeps 8 in two doubles, two twins. L'Ecuire has a very large dining area where the table can be converted to seating from 6 to 30 people. Outdoors, in the summer, the garden tables and chairs can be gathered together for big BBQ parties. There is WiFi access throughout the hamlet.

Le Gohic lies down a long private drive in quiet and tranquil countryside, amongst green rolling hills and lush wooded valleys. However, the hamlet is not at all isolated and there is an abundance of picturesque towns and villages close by. Just a leisurely stroll down the lane is the local bar and creperie where you will receive a very warm welcome. The village of Quistinic with boulangerie, chemist, mini-supermarket, post office and bars is three kms away. The nearest town, Baud, has a larger choice of shops, supermarkets, bars, restaurants and banks, and is an easy fifteen minute drive. The bigger town of Pontivy is 20 mins away and the modern city of Lorient, is 25 mins drive. The nearest recommended sandy beach is just 30 mins away at Port Louis. A bit further on, you will find a more a more abundant choice of beautiful white sandy beaches, fashionable seaside resorts and secluded rocky coves. The nearby River Blavet is great for fishing, canoeing, walking, jogging & cycling.

A little piece of heaven!

Incredible, fantastic, surprising, perfect!!!! Just some of the words we'd use to describe this magical hamlet! You know when you see something online and then are sceptical whether it will be as good as it sounds? - Well this was better than we could have ever imagined. The setting is idyllic and the owners are so warm and welcoming.
There were three couples in our party and we all decided to make our way there using different forms of transport (top gear challenge style!) One couple (no kids) decided to go by motorbike on the overnight ferry to St Maolo, the other couple (with a little boy of 21 months) decided to eurostar to Paris and then train and hire a car, and we (two children - 3 and a half years and 21months) decided to drive! The journeys were surprisingly easy!
With three different couples the accomodation provided everything you might need (and even more with extra high chairs, baby baths and playpens) La Marie was just perfect and the facilities and grounds were wonderful and provided everyone with something to enjoy. The games room was well equiped with all sorts of great games for the evening in front of the crackling fire and there was a great cinema room.
We so enjoyed our fresh croissants and bagettes that were delivered in the mornings and just cannot believe the incredible weather and fabulous holiday we all had. We would highly recommend Le Gohic and would like to thank Lucille and Barry for their warm hospitality (which even included windscreen washing fairies!!!!) We will definitely return... ;0) Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!!

Just Perfect

We had an absolutely wonderful holiday at Le Gohic with our daughter, son-in-law and 2 year old granddaughter. Our cottage, L’Ecurie, was like home from home with everything needed to hand. We swam in the pool, had lunch on the patio, rocked in the hammock, and relaxed by a log fire on an evening. Lack of light pollution meant that the stars were an amazing sight to see. Just perfect!

The hamlet is truly picturesque and so tranquil, as though from another era, and we extend our compliments to Robin and Sheila for making Le Gohic such a special place. Their website is an excellent insight into the properties, facilities and surroundings.

The beaches we visited were beautifully clean and unspoilt, and surrounded by lovely villages and countryside. We took a boat trip from Vannes around the Gulf of Morbihan, and visited the well preserved chateau at Josselin before walking by the Nantes-Brest canal, highlighting the beauty of Southern Brittany.

If only we could have stayed another week ...

Fantastic place to totally wind down!

We spent the week here with our daughter and my parents and loved being in such a beautiful place in the countryside. The cottage was incredibly well equipped and the hamlet was perfect for small children.

Sheila and Robin are excellent hosts and made us feel totally at home. Fresh croissant and pain au chocolat delivered to your door in the morning was a delight!

We will certainly be returning and would recommend it wholeheartedly to other families.

Absolutely fantastic place to spend a holiday

We had an absolutely fantastic holiday. Le Gohic is such a lovely and beautiful place to stay. The kids had a great time and loved it there. It was so nice to find somewhere that is so child-friendly but also a lovely, tranquil place for adults to enjoy as well. We are already planning to come back again next year! Thanks for such a wonderful holiday.

We hired the Hamlet of Le Gohic for a family celebration and without exception everyone thoroughly enjoyed the facilities from age 17 weeks to 70 years!

The standard of the cottages, their presentation and equipment are of the highest order with everything one could need for a holiday. Forget the old concept of the French farmhouse gite - these are high class properties beautifully maintaintained in beautiful surroundings.

The booking process was very straightforward and the Owners were extremely helpful in arranging other activities for us in the area. Indeed Sheila and Robin are on site, always there to help, but never intrusive.

We can unreservedly recommend Le Gohic.
