There are four cottages at Kervernel set in over one and a half acres with lots of holiday facilities for all the family and a heated swimming pool. All the cottages have central heating making them perfect for those off season holidays. Whatever the time of year we are sure you will find this very calm and peaceful corner of Southern Brittany perfect for relaxing, unwinding and getting away from it all.

Details for L'Ecurie 2 Bedrooms, Sleeps 4, 1 Bathroom

The cottage L’Ecurie has two bedrooms and can sleep up to four people. Like La Bergerie and Le Pressoir it has the luxury of oil fired central heating making it perfect for your off season holidays The entrance leads to the open plan fitted kitchen/dining room/lounge. The kitchen area is well equipped with cooker, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, microwave, toaster, iron and ironing board. The washing machine is in the laundry room. The lounge/dining area is comfortably furnished with sofa, easy chairs, dining table and chairs. The cottage has English and French TV for you to keep up to date with your favourite programmes and also a DVD/CD player. Upstairs is one double bedroom and one twin bedroom and bathroom with bath/shower, wash basin and toilet. The patio area has garden table, chairs, parasol and barbecue where you can take it easy and relax enjoying a glass or two of wine.

Kervernel on the outskirts of the village of La Chapelle Neuve is 15 minutes from the towns of Locminé and Baud, and 40 minutes to the famous southern Brittany beaches and the towns of Vannes and Lorient. The ferry ports of St Malo & Roscoff are a 2 hour drive & the ports of Caen & Cherbourg are a 4 hour drive. If you are travelling by the tunnel your drive is about 8-10 hours from Calais. The airports at Dinard and Brest are about a 2 hour drive and the airports at Rennes and Nantes an about an hour and a half. Car hire available at all airports

Notes: At Kervernel there is loads of space for ball games and plenty to do for all the family. The large grounds are ideal for the children to play in and make new friends while you watch from your terrace relaxing and sipping a glass or two of wine. But if you feel like being a bit energetic try your hand at boule on our large boule court or play a game of table tennis or shuttlecock. The heated swimming pool is 10 x 5 metres, there are roman steps at one end to make it easy for you to get into the pool and at the other end it is deep enough for diving. It has a safely ledge running round the perimeter so that you can take a breather wherever you are in the pool. A large terrace with tables, chairs, parasols and sun loungers surrounds the pool. For your safety the pool area is completely fenced in. New - retractable telescopic pool cover providing sheltered swimming in inclement weather. The swimming pool is open from mid May to mid September depending on local weather conditions

One week break May 2011

The gite was easy to locate thanks to excellent directions sent by the owners. The gite was as described on the web site, with modern fitiings in all rooms. Liz and Tom are excellents hosts. The children enjoyed the open spaces to play in, and particularly enjoyed the pool. All in all, a very pleaseant and refreshing holiday.

Our Holiday

My husband and I recently stayed at Ker Cottages and had a wonderful relaxing carefree holiday. The owners Tom and Liz were very welcoming, our cottage was extremely well equipped with all mod cons, it was like home from home! or better... the pool was lovely too. The surrounding countryside is beautiful, as well as the local towns and villages. Vannes is a must see! Thanks Liz and Tom for a lovely holiday.

a wonderful holiday

we have just returned from a fabulous holiday at Kervernel there were 14 of us in total age range from 18 months to 76 years we went for my daughter in laws 21st birthday we were greeted by tom who showed us around and how everything worked then he left us to our own devices we all enjoyed the badmington and the bules (i think i spelt it wrong)and had great fun playing ping pong we went out and about with loads to see and all in close proximety of the cottages we went out of season so dint get to use the pool which we could have done with as it was red hot all week but the beach made up for that we enjoyed barbeques and having a drink or two in the evening heat what a lovely way to end the day we would recomend these cottages to any one

Le gîte est impeccable, rien ne manque!
Liz et Tom sont adorables et sont toujours là pour nous.
Repos au gîte à regarder jouer Rebbecca (la chatte), Meg, Socks et Léo (les chiens), ou découverte de ce coin tranquille de Bretagne (Vannes, la Baie de Quiberon, Carnac...), nous vous recommandons vivement l'Ecurie.

PS: surtout, n'oubliez pas de vous délecter des galettes et du cidre breton!!!

L'Ecurie Sept 2009

This was our second holiday in this wonderful little gite a perfect place to chill out and relax with a few bottles of red wine.
The cottage is in a fabulous location close enough to the coast for the beaches Carnac is only half an hour.
If history is your thing then you have loads to choose from in the area.
Do not miss Poul Fetan it is a wonderful place to visit with it 16c houses and women dressed in costume giving demonstrations on every thing from making butter to spinning wool and what ever happens dont miss the washer women at the end of the day they are hilarious.
Tom and Liz are brilliant hosts they make sure you have everthing you need and are happy to help with anything but they also leave you alone to get on with your holiday.
We were only back for 1 day and we had rebooked for three weeks next year.
