There are four cottages at Kervernel set in over one and a half acres with lots of holiday facilities for all the family and a heated swimming pool. All the cottages have central heating making them perfect for those off season holidays. Whatever the time of year we are sure you will find this very calm and peaceful corner of Southern Brittany perfect for relaxing, unwinding and getting away from it all. La Chaumière has 3 bedrooms and can sleep up to 6 people. On the ground floor is the fitted kitchen/dining room with cooker, dishwasher, fridge freezer, microwave, toaster, iron, ironing board and dining table and chairs. In the utility room is the downstairs toilet and the washing machine. The spacious lounge is well furnished with sofas and armchairs. The original stone fireplace houses the wood burning stove and there are also electric panel heaters in each room. The cottage has English & French TV and DVD/CD player. . Upstairs are 2 double bedrooms and a third bedroom with twin beds. On this floor is also the bathroom with bath/shower, washbasin and toilet. To the front of the cottage is the patio area with garden table, chairs, parasol and a barbecue where you can relax and enjoy a glass of wine and look out at the stunning views.

Kervernel on the outskirts of the village of La Chapelle Neuve is 15 minutes from the towns of Locminé and Baud, and 40 minutes to the famous southern Brittany beaches and the towns of Vannes and Lorient. The ferry ports of St Malo & Roscoff are a 2 hour drive & the ports of Caen & Cherbourg are a 4 hour drive. If you are travelling by the tunnel your drive is about 8-10 hours from Calais. The airports at Dinard and Brest are about a 2 hour drive and the airports at Rennes and Nantes an about an hour and a half. Car hire available at all airports

Notes: At Kervernel there is loads of space for ball games and plenty to do for all the family. The large grounds are ideal for the children to play in and make new friends while you watch from your terrace relaxing and sipping a glass or two of wine. But if you feel like being a bit energetic try your hand at boule on our large boule court or play a game of table tennis or shuttlecock. The heated swimming pool is 10 x 5 metres, there are roman steps at one end to make it easy for you to get into the pool and at the other end it is deep enough for diving. It has a safely ledge running round the perimeter so that you can take a breather wherever you are in the pool. A large terrace with tables, chairs, parasols and sun loungers surrounds the pool. For your safety the pool area is completely fenced in. New - retractable telescopic pool cover providing sheltered swimming in inclement weather. The swimming pool is open from mid May to mid September depending on local weather conditions.

Fantastic spent 10 great days there. Accommodation was spotless and everything you could possible want/need available. Rooms spacious and comfortable. Front and gardens beautful with dream like views. Safe playing environment for our 18month old son. Hosts welcoming and friendly. Hugh bonus the swimming pool maintained like the properties to a high standard.
Great days out possible within in 30-60kms of the house - large markets, zoo's, wildlife santurary's, historic port, historic sights, beach/seaside.....

We had 2 very enjoyable weeks at La Chaumiere. Facilities were excellent and spotlessly clean. Tom and Liz had a lovely log fire lit to welcome us. The cottage was very picturesque and full of character and we were able to sit or lounge on the terrace most days. The garden was pleasant and 2 lovely dogs provided entertainment. There were only 2 of us, but the property was spacious, ideal for a family. The wooden staircase could be a problem for the elderly, but in all other respects we recommend this property highly.
