If you are active (or would like to be!) then you are spoilt for choice. A sea kayak is provided for your use, which is perfect for exploring the coastline around Primelin. It can be launched just 200m away from the house, and allows you to discover inaccessible coves, cliffs, caves and the crystalline waters. There are also some excellent snorkelling spots and dive sites. This is a great spot for windsurfing too and nearby there are fabulous surf beaches. 2 bicycles are provided with the house, these allow you to explore further afield; we can show you various cycle routes. Or simply discover the spectacular coastal path by foot. Next door to the house are the village tennis courts. There is a new indoor swimming pool, three horse riding stables all 5 minutes away. If you are not active, then this is also the place for you, the house is so calm, peaceful and extremely comfortable, that it is a pleasure just to find a quiet corner and sit and read a book, write a letter or listen to music.

The Cap Sizun: has some of the most dramatic coastal scenery in France and is perfect for cliff walks, but is also famous for its small chapels and 'calvaires', some perched on the edge of the cliffs, others tucked away in small green valleys, in the summer they often host art exhibitions and music concerts. Nearby Pont Croix is a small medieval city labelled 'petite cite de caractere'. Dournenez and Audierne are both authentic fishing ports where you can watch the arrival of the days catch and then feast on the freshest of seafood. Douarnenez also has a very interesting maritime museum where the exhibits are 'live' in that you are free to explore the old fishing boats still on the water - they often have trips out to sea on kayaks and different vessels. The area is truly unspoilt and authentic, in summer, just a few steps off the beaten track it is easy to find yourselves alone on the most fantastic beaches. In winter, come and watch the winter storms and breathe the fresh atlantic air.
