This beautiful Brittany farmhouse with private pool has 5 bedrooms plus a mezzanine sleeping up to 12 or the house can be booked as “ La Petite Maison Blanche” with the use of 3 bedrooms plus nursery/single room sleeping up to 7. Dating back to 1750 – 30 years before the French Revolution. Recently La Maison Blanche underwent a revolution of its own. It has been lovingly & tastefully renovated to a very high standard, whilst retaining its character & many original features. You’ll find all rooms double-glazed & heated. The large, comfortable lounge has exposed beams & a wood-burning stove, there’s a DVD player & UK TV is available, well behaved dogs are welcome, There’s ample seating in the dining area to enjoy a culinary feast, which you can rustle up in the fully equipped kitchen, there is a washing machine & a dishwasher. A baby sitting service can be arranged.

on the first floor is a large double bedroom with fitted wardrobe, dressing table & an antique Breton bed, the large window gives views of the garden & open countryside beyond, Bedroom 2 is comfortably furnished with fitted wardrobe, dressing table & antique twin beds, the large window gives views of the village, Bedroom 3 is a large double bedroom with fitted wardrobe, dressing table & an antique Breton bed, the large window gives views of the garden & open countryside beyond, leading from this room is the nursery that can also be used as an extra single bedroom, there is also an en suite shower room on the second floor is a mezzanine area with a sofa bed, Bedroom 4 & 5 have twin beds & window gives views of the garden & open countryside beyond. There is a large garden where you can swim in the private pool, play table tennis & other garden games. You can take walks or take the bikes in the surrounding countryside or just relax & enjoy the use of the barbecue on the spacious patio

Riolo is a small Brittany farming hamlet close to the village of Guilliers with its shops and bars, in the local area there are several lakes which make ideal places for cycling along the towpaths, picnicking and fishing, Lac de Duc offers sailing, wind surfing, water skiing etc. there is also golf, horse riding & go karting available nearby. There are Breton festivals throughout the summer including the Medieval Festival at Josselin and the Celtic Festival at Lorient. The medieval walled city of Vannes on the beautiful Golfe de Morbihan with it’s many sandy beaches and the wonderful coastline of Southern Brittany are just 45 min. away, and at Carnac you will find one of the largest sites of prehistoric standing stones in Europe. The port of St. Malo is 90 min. away and Dinard which has Ryanair flights from Stansted or Luton is 75 min.

A rural getaway with all the comforts of home

It is very difficult to drag yourself away from this property to investigate the surrounding area. The minute you step inside, you begin to feel totally relaxed and at home. It offers all the facilities you could possibly want or need without diminishing the character of the property. The garden is large, with the pool an added bonus, and the table tennis table will keep you entertained for hours! The peace and tranquility of the village adds to the relaxation and despite being very rural, the locals are very friendly and welcoming.
You don't need to travel far to reach a supermarket and it is an excellent base from which to explore the surrounding area and its interesting villages and towns.
The owners of the property live in the village and are attentive without being intrusive.

A perfect stay in Brittany

La Maison Blanche is beautifully presented. A perfect home from home. The rooms are clean, spacious and comfortable. If you enjoy lazing by the pool, walking or cycling in the countryside this place ticks all the boxes. And for days out the local medieval towns of Josselin and Dinan are a must for great markets, shops and little restaurants. Thank you to owners David and Muriel for making our stay such a great experience. We would certainly recommend La Maison Blanche to those looking for a taste of rural France and will no doubt be returning ourselves.

This property is beautiful. Set in a great rural location within easy driving distance to a number of interesting towns and attractions.
The house is generally spacious with lovely large bedrooms and lounge. The whole house is very well decorated and furnished. The kitchen is rather small.

The garden is excellent for the kids with the pool and plenty of space to play.
