Our 17th century cottages in Brittany are situated in the quiet hamlet of La Haute Mancelière. The cottages are part of a traditional Breton longère which has been tastefully converted retaining many of the old features. They are set in 2 acres of lawned gardens with a heated swimming pool (April - October) and are available to rent all year round. The property has the added benefit of being within a 45 minute drive to the beautiful sandy, uncrowded beaches of the Emerald coast.

This lovely, six bedroomed beamed cottage was the original farmhouse of La Haute Manceliere. It comfortably sleeps 12 (with additional accommodation available in sofa beds). The accommodation is made up of 3 double bedrooms, 2 twin bed bedrooms and a bunk bed room. There is a bathroom, 2 showers and 2 toilets. Washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, TV, DVD and video. Heating : Wood burning stove in the salon and solid fuel central heating. Outside private dining area, barbecue, shared swimming pool, large garden, small childrens play area, football goal and badminton net and rackets.

Notes to the rental rates

• The cottages are available to rent all year round.
  Winter lets (October to end April) include wood for central heating. Wood can be purchased for use in the woodburner at other times of year.
  All lets of 4+ days are inclusive of bed linen, towels and basic household products. For shorter lets, bed linen and towels can be hired for 7,50€ per person.

The Region

The area of Northern Brittany offers many different things to do and historical places to see. We are close to Mont St Michel, the world famous town and church built on a rock just off shore. The beautiful walled town and coastal resort of St Malo is only a 40 monute drive, as is the pretty Medieval town of Dinan. There are fabulous sandy beaches everywhere on the Emerald coast near Dinard and for seafood lovers, the gourmet resort of Cancale. We are 10 mins drive from the lovely Forest and lake of Villecartier, which is excellent for walking and mountain biking, and in season there are pony and boat rides available. There are different markets every day of the week in the nearby towns and several good restaurants.. For children there is an Aquarium at St Malo, a Reptilium at Pontorson and two waterparks within a 40 minute drive. We have all the local maps for hiking and cycling in the area and on the coast.

Golf Information:

There are several good golf courses within a 40 minute drive from the property, these include Des Ormes (Dol de Bretagne), Le Tronchet (St Malo), Granville and Le Fresloniere (Rennes). We can book up golf rounds for you if required and also offer additional catering services for golfing groups (out of season).
