Canihuel holiday cottage: Canihuel

M & Mme Le Mehaute realised a childhood dream building this sweet little house from the ruins of an old water mill, lavishing time and attention on the extensive grounds to many a visitor's delight. Children will delight in taking the boat out on the mill pond or playing cowboys and indians in the woods. Alternatively, the mill would make an ideal romantic retreat for writers and artists alike.The village centre with a restaurant is only I km away, with a gastronomic restaurant not far. The Guerledan lake with a watersports centre and swimming facility is only 12km away.

Sport activites: Brittany has many sporting events throughout the year. There are many long distance waymarked paths in Brittany or you can stroll alonng the Nates - Brest canal.Cycling is a favourite pastimes and canoeing/kayaking on the canal or lakes is possible. Horse riding is also available in the area. Discover the coast of Brittan, north, south and west, : sandy beaches, sand dunes, rocky beaches, cliffs and cliff paths and some amazing rock formations. There is a solar heated outdoor swimming pool at St-Nicolas-of-Pelem (with a slide of 3.4 m) , open from June 15 to September 15.

Cultural Brittany : Brittany has a strong cultural identity through its language, its costumes and its music and dance. Each area having its own traditions and musical characteristics,. There are events held throughout the summer throughout the area. The 'Plinn' is one of the hundreds of traditional dances of Brittany. On the last weekend of August, Rostrenen holds a Festival of traditional music. The “dañs fisel” is a very testing dance which requires tecnique and endurance. Every year a competition is held to find the best dancers, muscians and singers of “Kan ha Diskan”. Since 1989, Glomel has held an annual clarinet festival, the “RICP”
