11 years of staying at Coat Aillis

We've been going to Coat Aillis now since the summer of 1998 when our children were 3 and 6 years old. We had such a great time that first year and made such good friends with the owners, Paulien and Simon and their family, that we've been going back every summer since. We're even going at Easter this year for a week to celebrate 2 birthdays in our favourite place. The gites are great, there's a lovely pool, beautiful large orchard, excellent barn converted into a games room and tranquil setting. The area's beaches are glorious and unspoilt, some offering good surfing waves. There's a wonderful local Sunday market, loads of reasonably priced restaurants and miles of coastline walks. But, above all, we've always had a wonderful time there, come rain or shine. There's always something to do and the hosts, who live on site and are therefore there should anything need fixing, are really welcoming and have become lifelong friends.
