'Ty Gwyr' is a large, detached family home in a tranquil village on the banks of the River Aulne. Located on the romantic Crozon Peninsular, in the Parc Naturel Regional d'Amorique. The house sleeps 11 comfortably in 4 large bedrooms. There is a family bathroom on the first floor. The master bedroom has ensuite shower and washbasin facilities. In addition there is a seperate WC and washbasin on the first floor. A fully fitted kitchen, spacious lounge/dining room and attractive music room, complete with grand piano, ensure plenty of space for families, groups of people or even just a couple. There is off road parking to the front, with a private garden area and barbecue patio to the rear of the property. Miles of sandy beaches are within a 10-30 minute drive away.

Tregarvan is a small, very quiet and tranquil village. There is a delightful 16th-18th century church, riverside promenade and moorings where locals keep their boats. At the top of the hill is the Breton Rural School Museum which is well worth a visit. Tregarvan sits below the Menez-Hom mountain. On a clear day the panoramic view of the area from the top is breathtaking and well worth the drive up (or walk!) At Tregarvan, you can enjoy real French rural life whilst being able to access the lovely towns of Chateaulin(15 mins) and Douarnenez(20 mins) to soak up the Bretagne culture and history. The beautiful village of Locronan(20 mins) and the town of Quimper(45 mins) are within easy reach. The city of Brest and major resorts of Benodet and Concarneau are within an hours drive. The Crozon peninsular provides great opportunities for walking, cycling and all kinds of water sports. Miles of sandy beaches are within 10-30 mins drive. Supermarkets and shops are located in local villages.

Additional information about rental rates

  • Bookings are normally from Saturday to Saturday but other arrangements may be possible subject to demand and agreement.
    Occupation is normally from 4pm on the date of arrival until 10am on the date of departure but it may be possible to change these times by arrangement.
    Telephone bookings will be held for 7 days during which time a deposit of 25% should be paid. Please contact Jane Bryan to check that your dates are available before sending booking form and deposit.
  • The balance of the hire fee and linen charge (£8.50 pp) is due 8 weeks prior to the date on which holidays commence but if bookings are made within this period then the full rental fee is payable at the time of booking. A confirmation letter will be sent following receipt of the balance.
    A refundable damage & telephone usage deposit of £250 is payable at the time of payment of final balance (a larger deposit may be required if the house is booked for a period greater than 2 weeks). The balance of this deposit will be returned following completion of the holiday when the property has been inspected and the telephone bill has been reconciled by the owner. Should any damage and/or the telephone bill be of a value greater than the deposit amount then the owners reserve the right to reclaim the full amount from the client.
