Tregarvan is a small, very quiet and tranquil village. There is a delightful 16th-18th century church, riverside promenade and moorings where locals keep their boats. At the top of the hill is the Breton Rural School Museum which is well worth a visit. Tregarvan sits below the Menez-Hom mountain. On a clear day the panoramic view of the area from the top is breathtaking and well worth the drive up (or walk!)
At Tregarvan, you can enjoy real French rural life whilst being able to access the lovely towns of Chateaulin(15 mins) and Douarnenez(20 mins) to soak up the Bretagne culture and history. The beautiful village of Locronan(20 mins) and the town of Quimper(45 mins) are within easy reach. The city of Brest and major resorts of Benodet and Concarneau are within an hours drive.
The Crozon peninsular provides great opportunities for walking, cycling and all kinds of water sports. Miles of sandy beaches are within 10-30 mins drive. Supermarkets and shops are located in local villages.
