Spacious, light and airy, the Longere’s lounge has all the comforts one would expect from a lovingly restored Breton longere. For a formal dinner, or just a relaxing conversation, the dining area of the longere has ample space for cooking and unwinding. The bedrooms of the longere have all been tastefully renovated to ensure the maximum comfort one would wish for in a holiday. All properties have their own alfresco dining area, set in the beautifully tended gardens amongst picturesque scenery.

It is difficult to resist Brittany’s charm and to escape being captivated by this land created by the vagaries of wind, water and time. The Romans’ “finis terrae” possesses all the attributes needed to charm visitors. Along a coastline where steep cliffs give way to fine sandy beaches, historic fishing villages nestle side by side with renowned seaside resorts. Inland, the heath merges into rolling hills and lakes and marshes conceal oases of green. Brittany is a region proud of its roots and has successfully retained its customs and traditions. History and legend have given rise to an outstanding artistic heritage. It is however the sense of magic pervading Brittany which makes it a place apart and somewhere unique. Impossible to describe, its special atmosphere is instantly recognisable and quite unforgettable.

The Longere is exactly as described, and probably bigger than the photos suggest - having stayed there with friends it's an ideal solution for two families as the bedrooms are split either two each side of the main stairs along with a bathroom so works really well. The bottle of wine waiting on arrival was a great touch and the owners very friendly and accommodating and would do anything they could to help.
A great BBQ is available and the pool area is brilliant.
Any downsides? the dvd player was temperamental and a freezer would be a helpful addition, but hey - not exactly a massive issue!
The place is ideally located for visiting most of the locality and we would certainly return in the future.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Girls Getaway, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children
