Beaune : Outstanding 2-bedroom apartment in the medieval town centre

This delightful apartment feels more like a house at second floor level. It covers three floors in part of one of the oldest buildings in Beaune - a 12th century former abbey. The sensitive renovation combines original elements (massive oak beams, limestone walls) with harmonising finishes and modern comforts. Great attention has been given to use of space, lighting and equipment. Rue Maizieres, a typically narrow, medieval street in one of the quietest parts of central Beaune is only 3 minutes stroll from the market place. The apartment is reached by the original stone spiral staircase. Parking is nearby and permit is provided for on-street and secure covered parking. We launched the apartment in April 2003. The following are some of our visitors' comments: A perfect spot - we are regular visitors to Beaune and this apartment was much more like home than a hotel - wonderful for anyone, but especially seasoned travellers a bit sick of hotels. It doesn't get better - wow! With almost 20 years of coming 2 or 3 times a year it was the best! Have spent an enjoyable week relaxing in this perfectly situated apartment. Such a welcoming, thoughtful abode - and very comfortable. .... What better way to chill out in Beaune ... The apartment is perfect for town living, close to the centre but very quiet. A great apartment in a wonderful town.
