What to do when in Dijon.:
Dijon is a lively city for sightseeing and for shopping, it is convenient, fun, safe and clean and can be pedestrian friendly.
From the Dijon tourist office take a walking tour by following the 'Owls trail' showing you its ancient town houses build from the 15thC, its museums Archaeological and Art, its fine churches and cathedral, its high class boutiques, wine and antique shops and afterwards relaxing in a wide selection of excellent restaurants and bistros from French, Marocon, Chinese, Spanish, Indian restaurants and not forgetting simple meals in bistros, cafés and crêperies.
A must is a trip to the fresh market on Tuesday, Friday & Saturday mornings where the best produce is on display from the region for you to buy and then for you to take back to the apartment to prepare.
Not to be missed the historical and botanical parks in the city centre of Dijon, the outdoor swimming pool and not forgetting lake Kir where there is a beach and a beautiful park to visit.
MAXS full days 'WINE HISTORICAL & DISCOVERY' Tours:
The owner Max will come and pick you up and drop you off in front of the apartments for those who would like to do a 'Wine, Historical, Discovery tour 'of the region between Dijon and Beaune from 9hrs - 17:00hrs
Max has lived and worked in this area for the last 26 years, he is very enthusiastic and certainly knows where to go.
The price for the day is 88 euros per person, lunch is extra minimum 4 persons. For lunch Max knows of a restaurant on the outskirts of Beaune where you can eat the best garlic snails and the best Coq au Vin in Burugndy!
For a couple who just want to be on their own then you can reserve the air-conditioned minivan with Max for 350 euros, lunch is extra.

Famous Burgundy wines:
Wine is unquestionably Burgundy's best known product.
Head south towards Beaune passing through famous wine villages Gevrey Chambertin, Nuits St Georges, Corton, Meursault, Volnay etc. In these small wine villages you'll find an Auberge where you can sample some of the local menus, Boeuf Bourguignon, Coq au Vin, poached eggs in a wine sauce etc at the same time wine tasting.
In Beaune the capital of the wine area, visit the 'Hospice de Beaune', a famous 15thC hospital and then visit one of the many wine cellars for you to taste some of the very fine Burgundy wines.
Ski:
Dijon a great stopover place for 3 nights when making your way to the ALPS, S France and Italy.
Only a 6 hours drive from Calais and from Paris a 4 hours drive.
Please note that the TGV (20 a day express trains) from Paris Gare de Lyon only takes 1h35mins.

Once Beatrice knows of your arrival time in DIJON she will be at the apartment to meet you.
Once you have arrived in Dijon then you can either walk to the apartment or take a taxi only a 5 - 10 mins drive.
If you arrive by car then near the apartments are excellent underground car parks with cameras price very reasonable, approx. 18 euros for 7 nights.
