Les Sapins is a luxurious & well appointed ground floor apartment set in one acre of land, fully modernised but retaining many original features. 2 double Bedrooms (1with ensuite), 1 twin bedded room, separate shower and WC, large lounge with marble fireplace & sofa bed, dinning room with large table and seating for 8 people, well equipped kitchen, central heating. Travel cot,highchair,pushchair.Library and gym room. Large fully enclosed garden with raised swimming pool (10x5m), trampoline, pool table, table tennis, gas & charcoal barbeque's, plenty of sun lounger’s, tables & chairs & a number of well shaded spots to get out of the hot Burgundy sun. The apartment is in Southern Burgundy, France. A very large Mid-nineteenth century country house set in one acre of land, fully modernised but retaining many original features. 'Les Sapins' nestles in the tranquil village of Chizeuil, close to the River Loire & the beautiful spa town of Bourbon-Lancy with its picturesque historic quarters.

Les Sapins is set in a very quiet & rural village of Chizeuil,with beautiful views open countryside where you can go for plenty of walks or fishing. Chalmoux 3.5kms.is a little village that offers a lovely boulangerie (very tasty bread), cafe/bar/restaurant, two general shops & post office. The beautiful spa town of Bourbon Lancy 10kms with its picturesque historic quarters very good restaurants and shops. If you want to pamper yourself then book in at the Thermes. Le Creusot 50kms.has many attractions,Chateau de la Verrerie, Parc des Combes with its karting, tenpin bowling, train rides and fossiloscope. Visit the excellent wine producing areas of Beaune 90kms.Macon 90kms. The Loire offers canoeing & fishing & in the surrounding area it is excellent for walking, cycling, bird watching, horse riding and a golf course is close by, also Le Pal adventure park(25kms) which is fun for all the family.

  • For 2 week bookings we also offer a discount of 10%. Shorter stay durations considered outside of July and August. Larger parties considered please contact owner.SPECIAL OFFER for 2 persons only occupying the apartment for the low and medium period £275.00.per week

Notes: The English owners Fred and Deb Knapp live on the second floor in this very large house. Rest assured you will have your own entrance and privacy on your holiday but help will be on hand to you should you need it. There is plenty of car parking facilities, secure garden. There is a library and gym room on the top floor consisting treadmill, mini stepper and cross trainer. Outside there is a trampoline,badminton,swingball,table tennis,pool table,and numerous games for indoors as well.

A lovely place for children

We had a wonderful week at Les Sapins with our 4 young boys. The garden was full of things for them to do - trampoline, pool, badminton, table tennis, swingball, lots of space to kick a ball. Our hosts were really friendly and helpful, they had even filled a little paddling pool for our youngest so he could have a swim as soon as we arrived. We spent a day at the local amusement park which had plenty of rides for all ages as well as animals and a boating lake. Also spent a lovely day kayaking down the Loire river, with our 11 year old easily able to kayak on his own.. Local towns and markets are very pretty and the rural scenery is lovely. We went in mid July and had perfect weather. We'd recommend Les Sapins to anyone with children as a fantastic break in a very clean, comfortable and well maintained property in a lovely location.
