This ancient house of XVIII ° was the summer residence of the bishops of Autun until the French revolution. This lovely property is a peace haven located in the heart of South Burgundy. Four luxury rooms completely renovated are waiting for you. Two to five people can be hosted in each room. Breakfasts are served on the terrace during the summer in the vast park designed 'à la française', completed with a heated swimming pool. Conveniences: Lounge, library, television, broadband internet access, free access to the computer, minibar. Leisures: Burgundy wines…Côte de Beaune , Côte de Nuit and Côte Chalonnaise, including Givry's one ( King Henry IV's favorite). La Voie verte : cycle and roller track, 44km from Givry to Cluny. For us as a family of two adults & 2 teenagers, this luxury peaceful home set in the small village of Givry was just the ticket for a relaxing holiday. The house is beautiful, the gardens lovely, the swimming pool spot on & the house was really interesting & the family cannot do enough to make your stay comfortable. The locals in Givry were also friendly & helpful. We would definitely recommend Cote Park to others for a quiet & relaxing getaway - but there are plenty of things to do locally for anyone who needs a bit more excitement than we did!

We had 3 nights in the Jean D'Arcy room (1x double, 1 x twin). It was beautiful - very old French with modern plumbing and comfortable beds - all spotlessly clean. The swimming pool was fantastic and big enough to enjoy. Most days we had it to ourselves because the other guests were out & about. The breakfasts on the terrace are just right - very simple but freshly squeezed juice, homemade jams & croissants. This is a great base for exploring and there are restaurants in the village plus the usual boulangerie & excellent mini supermarket. Chalon is only 10 minutes away with all the big shops if you need them. The owners are lovely and nothing was too much trouble. I would not hesitate to go back and it is a lovely relaxing stopover if you are heading south on the "route de soleil" - a peaceful oasis.
