Magny-lès-Villersis a small village in Burgundy which has a splendid church built in the style of the old peoples home of Beaune. There are many shops less than one Kilomètre away (bakers, grocers and butcher). In the centre of the next village you will also find a craftsman who manufactures gingerbread, jams and syrups. There are also many wine growers where are can not only taste the wine but purchase also. The first, 'Corton' in addition to a vast closet, it has a double bed, in the old Burgundian style; two armchairs create a cordial environment. The second bedroom, 'Romanée' is equipped with two twin beds, a corner desk and a vast closet. The charm of the rooms with their new bed linen combined with a quiet village will ensure you have many nights of peaceful sleep. N.B: We can place at your disposal an exta bed or cot and baby linen. This lodging has two water rooms, and each one will be equipped with your arrival of all the bathroom linen necessary. The first is at the ground floor with a shower ( Italian's shower), a wash-hand basin. Both have taps thermostatics. At the ground floors the WC are independent. Second is on the floor, it also is very modern, with thermostatic valves and many arrangements.

A place of garage reserved for car. A decorated flowered garden of a terrace in flagstones of Burgundy furnished with a living room of garden, long chairs, parasol, barbecue etc.... A vegetable garden, or the owner gracefully offers vegetables and fruits to the holiday makers. AFTER EXIT BEAUNE MOTORWAY : From Beaune, to take the R.N.74 Dijon direction until Ladoix-Serrigny, turn on the left to pharmacy in direction of Magny. In the village, take the right road at the Church (direction Corgoloin) Gite to 50m after the church of Magny Look for the GITE RURAL sign.

Ski: The basic ski pistes are to 1 hour 1/2 of road in the JURA. The field is splendid there and one can spend there a very beautiful day without difficulty.

Golf: two courses of golf with proximiter, one 9 hole in Beaune 7km and one 18 hole in Dijon 25 km.

Other Activities: In the village, run of free tennis -Visit cellar and tasting of the wine.

The village is surrounded by vineyards with many other charming places to visit nearby. Beaune is only a 5-10 minute drive away and has lots to see and do as well. The owner, who lives next door, is very helpful and eager to make your stay memorable. Anything we needed or wanted to know she was right there to help.'

The fittings are modern and clean and the facilities for our 4 month old baby are first class. The family who rent the house live in the neighbouring property and could not have been kinder or more helpful to us. If I lived closer, I would be there every weekend!'

Excellent holiday home for lots of sightseeing.

The location is perfect for travelling about to the numerous towns, villages and citys in the area. Dijon is half an hour away and worth a few trips. (Make sure you do the 'Owl walking tour' while your there.)
It is a lovely quaint cottage with comfortable bedrooms and plenty of bathroom and kitchen space. It was very clean and well maintained and the dishwasher and laundry facilities a godsend. The sofa could be a bit more comfortable but we spent so much time out sightseeing it didnt bother us. We had our 2year old with us and the open staircase was no problem but we took a travel gate for the top with us anyway. The tv has no english channels so dvd's are a must and the wireless internet connection is very fast.
The family live in the ajoining house but other than a friendly face to say 'bonjour' to they did not intrude or make us feel like we couldn't use the large grassed area and childrens swings and playhouse. They have chickens, friendly dogs and an abundance of vegetables and fruit growing. We received eggs, strawberrys, cherry compote and the best tasting cherry flan as gifts from Marie the owner.
There is a bakery and butchers in the nearby village (not in walking distance) But a 5 min drive to the next town of Beaune with large supermarkets on the outskirts is no hassle to get to. Beaune has a great park with lake and playground and is perfect for a picnic.We were blown away by the tour of 'Hotel Dieu' it is truely magnificent and shouldn't be overlooked.The town also has loads of wine caves and it is worth going to a tasting and seeing the thousands of bottles stacked up but we bought all our wine from a cave in the village just round the corner from the house.
All in all a lovely relaxing place to stay with fabulous views of the vines and near to many beautiful areas of the region and not too expensive to rent.

Cette maison de vacances, nous avons beaucoup apprécié pendant notre très bon séjour chez les Zecchini. Tout d'abord, on a trouvé cette gite rurale très bien située dans un joli village vignobles et sur une ancienne ferme bourguignonne. Puis à l'intérieur, l'ambiance familiale et le charme d'un équipement favorable et plein de goût nous ont plu beaucoup. La famille Zecchini nous a accueilli très aimablement et leur chaleur nous restera en mémoires pour longtemps.

Fantastic place and magnificent hosts

My wife and I stayed at this wonderful gite during our honeymoon in June 2008. Marie and her husband who own the gite and live in the adjoining house were the most welcoming, generous and delightful hosts and their gite provided a spacious and very comfortable base for us to explore Beune and the Cote D'or. We loved Beune, particulalry the Route De Vin bicylce path from Beaune through the vineyards and small villages to the South, and the fantastic restaurant Le Charlemagne, in the village of Pernand-Vergelesses, which is a very short drive or easy bike ride from Marie's gite. We also loved walking the local streets around the gite and morning bike rides to a nearby small village to buy freash bread from the bakery.

Just as memorable were the generosity and charm shown by Marie and her family. To choose just a few examples - the delivery of food and wine from their own kitchen when they realised we had arrived from Paris with only a couple of sandwiches for dinner; the bicylces Marie's son arranged for us; the wonderful basket of berries Marie brought us from her garden; the beautiful picnic we had with Marie's family in their backyard one evening.

Our stay here was the highlight of our honeymoon and I hope to stay here again some day.

This holiday rental is excellent!!! The accomodation is very comfortable and roomy and extremely good value. Very clean and well-maintained. The owners are charming, generous and very helpful. On our departure at 5 am to catch a train, our hostess turned up to open the gate and say a final au revoir! The village is a lovely, quiet one in a great location.
We would recommend this to anyone wanting a stay in that part of Burgundy. Thank you Marie and Yves!!!
