A newly refurbished stone house in a medieval setting. La Petite Poche is a delightful stone house situated just outside the ramparts of the medieval village of Noyers in Burgundy. The house is perfect for a couple or ideal for a small family, and has been tastefully decorated and refurbished to a high standard with many facilities. The house sleeps four in comfort and provides high quality accommodation. There is a pleasant, sunny terrace and garden to the rear. Riverside walks, local amenities and attractions are all close by in Noyers, ‘Un des plus beau de villages de France’. Quiet, picturesque Noyers, a perfectly preserved medieval town in northern Burgundy has managed to survive intact through the centuries. La Petite Poche is ideally situated for exploring Burgundy where all tastes are catered for. All amenities are in Noyers - an easy walk or one minute in the car. The market town of Chablis is just a 15 minute drive. Touring and sightseeing is very easy with most attractions - Ancy Le Franc, Vezelay, Fontennay, Tanlay etc under 1 hours drive. Markets are held in most villages on various days and well worth a visit for fresh produce and a taste of the French way of life. Visit our website for a taster. Burgundy is a beautiful land of rolling hills, rivers and canals. It boasts some of Europe's finest art and architecture, and is all very accessible. For children, the adventure park near Avallon provides a fun-packed day out with canoeing, and bicycling and rope walks. Just ten miles from Noyers there is horse riding and pony trekking.

Notes to the rental rates

  • Changeover day is Saturday, and in order to check and clean the house we ask guests to arrive after 4pm, and to leave by 10 am.
    We ask for a £55 deposit at the time of booking (non-refundable if booking cancelled) and the balance six weeks before the start of your holiday.
    We also require a separate cheque for £100 as a deposit against possible damages or loss, which, between the months of June and September we do not bank, and which will be destroyed if everything is satisfactory at the end of your holiday. Outside of these months, we deduct electricity consumption at 8.5 pence per unit from the security deposit and return the balance at the end of your holiday at La Petite Poche.

An easy drive from Calais

Getting to La Petite Poche is an easy 5.5 hour drive from Calais. Go via Reims, then Troyes and Tonnerre where you can pick up those supermarket necessities should you require.

Market Day

Wednesday is our market day - walk, don't drive because you'll find it difficult to park! We recommend the cooked chicken (sometimes the vendor has piaella - not quite so good). Sunday morning is Chablis market day. Many wine cellars are open too. It's a great morning out. Follow the link to our website in this advertisement.
