Antibes Juan-les-Pins is situated between Nice and Cannes on the mediterranean coast.Antibes,one of the oldest towns on the French Riviera,with cobbled streets, local markets,famous pleasure yacht harbour,the Picasso museum, and Fort Carre is about 15 minutes walk away. Juan-les-Pins hosts the jazz festival,and is busy with restaurants, shops, nightclubs,the casino and sandy beaches and the centre of town is just a few minutes away through the 'Pinede' green park areas, where you can stop to watch a game of boules. Within half an hour's drive you can access the foothills of the Alps, with stunning scenery, gorges and charming medieval villages. Monaco and Nice are easily accesed by car (about 30 minutes) or train while Cannes (best known for the Film festival) takes 10 minutes in the car or a few minutes on the train. St Tropez can be reached by ferry across the bay. The nearest ski resort is about an hour's drive away.

Sea / Sail / Fun Activities: Water sports of many kinds are represented within a few minutes walk. Hire or lessons for adults and children available in diving/snorkelling/sailing/windsurfing/motorboat fun etc.

Restaurants / shopping: Locally most of the shopping is boutique/designer small shops, whilst provisions are available from a number of medium sized supermarkets and the market in Antibes centre. Carrefour hypermarket and out of town shopping centres are all a short car drive away. Restaurants are so prolific that it is difficult to know where to start, suffice to say that they are many and varied in both quality and price!

Excellent base for family holiday

We have stayed in this apartment twice & both times we have had an excellent time. Discriptions of the property are very accurate. We have two kids (3 & 5 yr old) & the extra bathroom is a godsend. Both bathrooms have been refurbished to a very high quality on a par with any hotel. The apartment is very centrally located close to beach train station carry outs, supermarket & local restaurants. There is a local bakery which you can see from the patio & it takes 5 minutes in the morning to walk down and get steaming hot croissants & baguettes plus its does great pastries as well. The main living room is huge and has two bed settees in it plus if you bring your sky card there is a sky box as well as a video & DVD.The place was spotless when we arrived. The residents in the apartment are very friendly as well. Kitchen is adequate to cope with all your needs and has everything to make the self-catering experience excellent.
The complex is very secure with access restricted to those with specific keys to activate the doors. There are lots for the kids to do in and around Juan Les Pins and if you take your kids to the play park in the evening you’ll have the chance to meet to the locals. We found everywhere very welcoming to families. Take the little train to Antibes kids will love it and there’s a great market there as well with some great local wines available. Personably I don’t believe you need a car the rail system is so good and most of the stations are situated in the centre of the towns (exception Monaco take a taxi to the centre trust me you don’t want to walk). I’ll not bore you with all the things you can do as the guide books do that but if you’re a family this is the place to stay as you’re so near to everything. Our kids loved the place & still talk about it. Views at night from the patio are lovely and if you’re lucky enough to be there for the music festival then you’ll benefit from the sounds of jazz wafting up over the patio at night & with a good bottle of wine its hard to beat while the kids sleep.

Fantastic apartment with stunning views!

This is not the first time I have visited this lovely apartment - it has clearly been well looked after and recently renovated, meaning it's comfortable and pleasant to live in. Everything about our trip was smooth and easy - we were collected from (and dropped off at) the airport upon arrival by the concierge of the building, who drove us to the building and showed us up in the lift to the apartment.

The best thing about this apartment is that any age group with any interests can stay here - you can lounge by the pool all week, or for the more adventurous, go waterskiing or parasailing! There is a fantastic night life here as well - with just a couple of minutes walking, you can be in the centre of everything, where there are great bars, restaurants and clubs to visit.

The location is fantastic as you are within a short distance from a large supermarket, the beach, chic fashion shops and restaurants. Also, just outside the back of the building is a bus stop, where you can get the bus directly into Antibes - where they often have a fabulous market! Nearby, you can catch a train which takes you into Italy, to the large leather markets - a great day trip. A car is not necessary here as everything is within walking distance or easily reachable on public transport. However, there is room for cars if you do wish to bring one, and it is then possible to drive to Antibes or other local tourist attractions. There is also a little train which travels a scenic route along the coast, which can be caught from the seafront in town.

We really enjoyed staying in this bright, airy apartment and having breakfast and lunch whilst taking in the fantastic views over the hills. I recommend it to any age group, and to both families and couples as there is such a variety of things to see and do. I will definitely be visiting again next year!

Four Have Fun In Juan-les Pins

My wife and I took our friends Li n Pat to this apartment and we had a marvelous time. Fred , the concierge collected us from the airport ( and took us back, too). We had no need of a hire car as the apartment is barely 200 metres from town centre. It is set in green gardens and a large pool and tennis court make it ideal for folks of all ages. We didn't use the buses but they are close by. The trains are all you have heard of the French service--first class. The line runs all along the Cote-de-Azur and the trains are frequent , swift , silent and so cheap compared with UK.
Jane , the owner is such a pleasant and helpful person and did all she could to make our first French trip so enjoyable.
The apartment is all as described and was clean and well furnished. The two bathrooms are actually shower rooms but that is a minor discrepancy . The safe advertised wasn't there either and rather alarmed us as we didn't feel comfortable carrying passports and cash around in holiday clothes. However the security of the grounds , entrances and doors to the apartments was such that we felt quite happy to leave things in the apartment all day.
The infra-red hob was rather a puzzle to operate to we technophobes but the concierge again rushed to our rescue and showed us how to work it. A few step-by-step instructions would help others, though. A couple of extra saucepans would also be useful for the odd occasions when eating on the superb double verhanda.
The air conditioning in each bedroom was idylic, so easy and efficiently silent. In the cupboard we discovered a wheeled shopping trolley which was an inspired touch. It made carrying wine and milk up from the town so easy. Well done , Jane.
The town of Juan-les-Pins is a lively and youthful town with an atmosphere that pulses and throbs. Eating out is a wonderful experience at the many pavement restaurants. Can-Can was our favourite.
We shall certainly be returning and we can thoroughly reccommend this apartment to everyone wishing to sample a little luxury.
(Remember the song "Where do you go to my lover?" Well ,if you listen carefully she came to Juan-les-Pins...
