Within a few blocks of the apartment are open market places, gardened squares, the Picasso Museum, and sandy beaches. Antibes is 15-25 minutes from Cannes, Nice, and the Nice International Airport. Monte Carlo, Italy, and the perched villages in the mountains of Provence are easily accessible. Antibes boasts one of the finest marinas on the Riviera, which handles anything from 350-foot yachts to small fishing boats. The resort mecca of Juan-les-Pins, known for its glamorous beach clubs and non-stop nightclubs, is within walking distance of the apartment. The legendary Hotel du Cap, and its beach club and restaurant, Eden Roc, on Cap d'Antibes, is a five-minute drive. Explore the winding streets of the Old Town, the countless restaurants, including the Michelin-starred restaurants in the area, the open-air antiques markets, and the amazing, daily farmers' market.
Things to Do:
Take one of the ferries to the Lerin Islands for snorkeling and the museum and ancient prison, which held the Man in the Iron Mask. Try scuba lessons on Cap d'Antibes, visit the Hotel du Cap for cocktails, the Archaeological Museum, the Napoleonic Museum, the amusement and marine parks, the Film Festival and the beach clubs at Cannes, Cannes's grand seaside promenade, La Croisette, Grasse and its perfumeries, the art center town of St. Paul de Vence, and the glass-blowing center Biot. Take the helicopter to Monte Carlo; or overnight trips to the snow-capped Maritime Alps, which are only one-and-one-half hours away, for hiking, climbing and rafting, Italy, Aix-en-Provence, the Palace of the Popes in Avignon, St. Remy, the Pont-du-Gard, the Roman ruins in Nimes, and the hilltop towns of the Luberon.
