Notes: There is a hair-dryer, iron and ironing board. The apartment does not have a terrace. There is a deep window facing towards the sunset over the rooftops of the old town. The apartment does not have any dedicated parking. However, there are parking spaces in and around the old town and a space within a few minutes walk of the apartment can usually be found without a problem.

Further details for this holiday apartment rental in Antibes, France

Extracts from our printed guide leaflet: There is a lot to do and see in Antibes for a short visit so that a hire car is not really necessary. The train also provides an easy way to explore other places along the coast. East to Biot, Cagnes, Nice, Villefranche, Beaulieu, Eze, Monaco, Menton and Ventimiglia. West to Juan Les Pins, Cannes and Grasse. A car is only required if you want to explore inland, especially the famous old “perched” villages. The Picasso museum in the sea facing Grimaldi Chateau is just the other side of the old town ramparts 50m from the apartment. Picasso lived and worked in the Chateau for a period when he was into Ceramics. The museum has an excellent terrace looking out to sea. There are often spectacular views of the Maritime Alpes beyond Nice in the morning from the sea wall by the Cathedral and Museum. There are many of the worlds largest motor yachts in the marina (the biggest pleasure marina in the Mediterranean). Golfers have a choice of more than 15 courses within a 20-km radius.

Other beaches and coastal walk: The other side of the Cap d'Antibes has some beaches too. If one side of the Cap is breezy and rough the other is usually calm and clear. Also, “Juan Les Pins” (where apparently Brigitte Bardot wore the first bikini in the 50s), which is effectively connected to Antibes but is on other side of the Cap has long sandy beaches. There is a spectacular coastal walk around the end of the Cap that can be reached from the parking at Plages de la Garoupe. In season there is a bus service.

Restaurants: There are tens of excellent restaurants within a few minutes walk of the apartment, and several just seconds away. Just a few doors up the road from the apartment is an excellent little French restaurant, 'Le Tour Ancienne'. The chef here is amazing and matches many Michelin starred restaurants for quality and presentation at a tiny fraction of the cost. 'La Taverne du Safranier' in the hidden away square in the Safranier quarter a few minutes walk down pretty little streets. 'Les Vieux Murs' by the sea wall 50m from the apartment for open air dining with a view. A bit pricey but a wonderful treat. Local favourite Brulot's is busy, great value and surprisingly good with some excellent Provence specialities on the menu as well as pasta and pizza. Brulot also does the best take-away pizzas in about 5 mins. The restaurant stays open very late and will often be serving food well past 11pm. 'Vauban' in Rue Thuret offers superb quality food with amazingly good value fixed priced menus.

No better Location for the Heart Of Old Antibes

Shaz & Rich London SE3
Review Submitted: August 9, 2009 Date of Stay: July 2009
Having booked last minute we did not expect to find the prfect accommodation avaialable - we were wrong. This fantastic studio appartment was in the heart of old Antibes with evrything you need a few steps outsdie the door. When inside the studio was very clean quiet (as it faced the back of the building) modern fixtures and fittings and a great shower. The location is a walk to the numerous beaches, restaurants the harbour, the market is 'on the doors step' the buses at a Euro anywhere are a must for exploring so save on the taxis. Biot village is a must for a day out. Connie the owners local rep was a font of knowledge with recommendations and rescued my wifes curly hair by delinvering a hairdryer to save the day!

Highly recommended - like many others who have reviewed we will be back.
Owner's Response: Many thanks for the kind words!
We are really delighted you enjoyed your stay in our little apartment and hope you can visit again.

Fantastic apartment

Review Submitted: October 1, 2009 Date of Stay: September 2009
Can not be more positive about the apartment; I know Antibes very well and the aprtment is located in the dead centre of the old town - the Provencal market is literally on the door step and the nearest bars and restaurants, mainly patronised by locals rather than tourists, are less then a stagger away...maybe 20 metres !! The apartment is double glazed and looks over a cul-de-sac so is very quiet.
The photos do not do the apartment justice - it is large, light and airy. The bed (a fold down, which we didn't fold up as it became a second sofa by day) is comfy and the kitchen well appointed and new (I think we were the first people to use the oven...).And my girlfriend, who runs ger own business found the easy to access wifi very useful too. The apartment is three floors up, but my Father - who met us in Antibes, is 73 and he managed the stairs with no problem.
The owner is easily contactable and very easy to contract with, my deposit was returned in 2 days after return home. And the local agent is friendly, easily contactable and clearly cared that we had a great holiday.
To summarise - I love Antibes and will 100% certainly be using the apartment again as a base....there's nothing better than leaving the quiet of the flat, and within seconds being in the middle of the bustle of the market, a minute from the centre of the Old Town and three minutes from the beach.....

bugs galore

Review Submitted: December 3, 2008 Date of Stay: October 2008
on arriving in antibes we were pleasantly surprised by the studio apartment until we went to sleep we had to be moved the next day due to numerous insect bites and being kept awake all nite being bitten. On contacting the agent Connie, who is lovely, we were moved to a beautiful apartment across the landing, but were informed that this had happened to another person in the summer and the studio had been fumigated. Hopefully this problem will have been resolved as the location of the studio is excellent and we had a brilliant time!
Owner's Response: Scoring us 1/5 is unreasonably harsh in this case. One of the guests had been bitten by insects and we immediately responded by transferring them hassle free into a far superior property. As a precaution the apartment was professionally fumigated and all subsequent guests have happily reported that they had no problems with insect bites.
I accept that it was not a perfect stay but having a 'brilliant time' in a 'beautiful apartment' in an 'excellent' location surely is worth 3 or 4 out of 5.

The perfect spot in Old Antibes

Bugsy Surrey
Review Submitted: October 9, 2008 Date of Stay: September 2008
The location of this apartment could not be better. The property overlooks the quieter side of the old town but the front door opens directly into the Provencal market which is there six days a week. Wonderful! The beaches, the Picasso museum and many excellent restaurants are all within easy walking distance. The owner supplied us with all the necessary information to make our stay extra enjoyable. Two additional bath size towels would have been appreciated but otherwise the flat was very well equipped.

A week in Antibes

Tricky Kingston
Review Submitted: July 1, 2008 Date of Stay: June 2008
Having been to Antibes previously, I was already familiar with the weather, life style etc so no suprises there, the plesant suprise however was our accommadation when we arrived! Clean, spacious and larger than we had anticipated. Additionally the bathroom and kitchen are a good size. The kitchen is fitted with washing machine and dishwasher should you need them. Situated in Antibes old town it is perfectly located for the local beach and bars resturants in Antibes old town.

Can strongly recommend
Owner's Response: Thanks for the review! Really pleased you enjoyed it.
