The spacious apartment (75 m²) is situated on the ground floor of a typical Provencal style villa in a private domain. The separate entrance is at the backside of the villa.

The apartment is very comfortable and fully equipped and has a small terrace with barbecue and garden furniture, and a private parking in front of the entrance. There is a direct access to the big pool of the villa (12,50m x 6,50m) which is only shared with the owner of the house. The pool is secure for smaller children, since shallow at the end of the stairs and alarm system (immersion detector). The pool has a diving board

A second terrace 'Solarium' is at the disposal of our guests, with a beautiful view towards the back country and with table tennis and trampoline.

The villa is perfectly located in a calm residential area and at the same time close to the beaches and the city centre (10 min by car). A shopping centre is near by and from Super-Antibes, Cannes & Nice are within 15/20 min drive

Villa Balata is located in a private domain of a restful residential area in Super-Antibes, at only 2 minutes drive to a shopping centre. It is secure for children since there is no traffic (only private path).

The picturesque old town of Antibes with the local markets and the famous Picasso museum are within 10 minutes drive.

Many sandy beaches in Antibes, Cap d'Antibes, Juan les Pins and Golfe Juan are within 10 - 15 minutes drive.

It is also an ideal setting to explore the beautiful back country, within 15 / 25 minutes drive you can visit Mougins, Valbonne, Biot, Vallauris, Cagnes, etc.

Besides to enjoy the glamour of the French Riviera in Cannes, this takes only 20 minutes drive to reach the famous 'Croisette'

Since the entrance to the highway is close (3 minutes) it is easy to go to Nice(Airport 10min.), Monaco (40min), Italie (50min), St. Tropez (90min) etc.

Also golfers will enjoy that many golf places can be reached easily - only 5 min. to the Golf St. Phillip.

Great location

We stayed for a week with our 13 year old son, it was our first visit to the region. The owners were very helpful by giving us plenty of ideas how to explore this beautiful area.
The apartment is perfect & ideally located in a quiet neighborhood with easy access to the beaches and old town of Antibes, it took us 10 minutes by car. From the Airport it was easy to find and we arrived in only 15 minutes !
The apartment is well equipped, everything you need, clean, spacious – the shower is huge - and the beds are comfortable. We loved the decoration and attention to details.
In the evening the apartment was heated, it was nice & cosy , and of course in the summer we would have used the small terrace just in front with a barbecue. A big supermarket “Carrefour” is very close and when we did not want to cook we bought delicious food from the catering service.
We also appreciated free wireless Internet connection !
And a pity we could not use the superb &huge pool at this time of the year, however it was cleaned and we could sit next to it and enjoyed the sun. There is a sundeck just for the guests with a great view to the back country. Our son enjoyed the trampoline and my husband and myself the table tennis.
We will definitely come back and can highly recommend it.

Apartment rental

My husband and I booked the apartment for a week, and arrived early Saturday evening to be met by the owner. The apartment was spacious and clean and was well equipped and in a residential area. We walked into Antibes the following day (aproximately 1 hour pleasant scenery) passing a large supermarket which was very handy. The apartment itself is to the rear of the main house, on a lower ground level, and is north facing, therefore it did not receive and sun.Because of this we found the bedrooms in particular to feel damp and smell musty. The owners had installed a portable dehumidifier I believe for this reason. After 4 nights, and very little quality sleep we felt that we had no option but to try and find a hotel for our remaining 3 nights, which we did, adding to the cost of our holiday. As the owners were not at home when we left, we posted the keys with a note explaining our actions, and also leaving 20 euros towards the final clean. As yet I have not received any acknowledgment from them relating to our stay. Personally, we would not stay in the apartment again.
Owner's Response: I do regret that I was not in Antibes due to travelling for business (exceptionally) but my husband was present so we were both very surprised that the guests did not get in contact with us, but instead only left a very short message.

We always aim that our guests feel themselves as comfortable as possible, and of course expectations are different from one guest to the other and therefor communication is important.
If they felt the sleeping room to be damp (actually we checked and definetly it was dry and no smell at all !) then we could have put on the heating since at this time of the year it can be still quiet hot during the day but substancially lower temperatures during the evening,

Since these guests did not have a car we also proposed to take them to the center of Antibes (instead of taking a bus) and I had the feeling that they liked the apartment and the garden & terraces, we are truly sad that they left in advance, it is the first time that this happens.

However thank you for sharing your appreciations which we will of course note in order to always best maintain the apartment.

The good life

The property is beautiful, very clean and well maintained. Everything you could need during your stay (dishwasher, microwave, internet) is in the house. The living room looks fine and the bathroom is spatious. The sleeping rooms are big and the matrasses are fine. The owners were very friendly. The garden was excellent, with a big swimming pool, a trampoline, table tennis and enough space for our children to play and run. In fact they asked us if we could get the same garden at home. The area is nice, close to the city and the sea, in a quiet residential area.
Except for some moist in the sleeping rooms (there was quite some rain when we stayed there, wich had its effect on the conditions in our sleeping rooms) everything was excellent.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Girls Getaway, Sightseeing, Families with Young Children
