This 80 sq. m. apartment with charm is situated in a traditional house, from the second floor to the roof-top with a view on the old city and the surrounding mountains. It is located in the pedestrian area of old Antibes, in a calm and sunny street. Close to the provençal market, the Picasso museum and the ramparts which looks straight on to the sea, the apartment is 5 mins walk to the yachting harbour and the sand beach of 'La Gravette'. At the lower level a bedroom with bookcases and wardrobes, a large bathroom, and a laundry room with a washing machine. At the middle one a very light and airy living room with 2 bays, an open-plan kitchen fully fitted, provençal and modern furniture's, fire-place, satellite-TV and internet high speed access. At the upper level a little bathroom and 2 rooms surrounded with rectangular skylights which overlook the roofs of the old city and the surrounding mountains.

Antibes is a beautiful historic old city, in the heart of the Côte d'Azur, between Cannes and Nice. While keeping its charm and calm, the old city is rich, besides the museums and local markets, through its narrows streets in restaurants, open-air cafés, boutiques, english pubs and even a spacious English booksellers. And the sandy beaches are never far from the center. The town is surrounded with typical and well-known villages : Biot, Saint Paul de Vence (Foundation Maeght Museum), Mougins...

Additional information about rental rates

  • A non-refundable deposit of 25%of the rental price is payable at the time of booking and the outstanding balance 4 weeks before the arrival.
    We ask you for a fully refundable deposit of 500 euros to cover any breakages or damages.
    Reductions are provided for more than one week : two weeks, one month.
  • Arrival: On arrival you will be welcomed by our estate agency which collect the deposit, give you the keys an present you the flat and its appliances. (Of course no extra charge for commission).
    You will be provided with a fully inventory. The changeover day is negotiable except on Sunday.
    Bedlinen and towels provided.
    In winter please add 25 euros per person for heating.

'We had a wonderful time at your apartment and in Antibes. The accommodations were perfect for our family. Your apartment is a lovely place to spend time, we all slept in the upstairs, our son loved the little room and little beds....
We went to the Gravette beach almost everyday, the bakery near your building, and the playgrounds near the post office. We also went to the beaches on the way to Cap d'Antibes and in Juan-les-pins. We did lots of walking, visited nice, and tried (unsuccessfully) to visit the Matisse church in Vence. We had perfect weather and one rain/thunderstorm for which we were indoors and which gave way to the most glorious of days'.

Home away from home in 1 Rue des Bains

The past 8 months that my flatmates and I have spent in this charming and idiosyncratic Old Antibes townhouse have been some of the best months of my life. Perfectly situated around the corner from the Provincial Market, Ramparts and the best boulangerie in town, this three-storey home has something to discover on every level. From “Narnia” (the bathroom inside the wardrobe on the bottom floor, complete with Astroturf and saloon doors) all the way up to the trap door that separates the two top bedrooms from the rest of the house, you will find little treasures the whole way through that make this house so much more unique than other holiday homes. Sunny day? Soak up the impeccable views of the Alps and the old town rooftops from the ledge off the huge windows in the lounge. Rainy day? Entertain yourself with one of the many books or board games that fill the home. Cold winter day? Curl up by the fireplace with a mug of mulled wine and banter with friends. A fantastically quirky house with worlds of character, it’s perfect for anybody who wants a little taste of something different. This is no ordinary holiday home, but it is surely one that you’ll never forget or regret.
