An ideally-located flat in the beautiful heart of old Antibes...you’re in an aerie overlooking the rooftops of one of the Côte d’Azur’s most fabled cities, on a cobbled pedestrian street lined with local boutiques and just steps from the town’s Provençal market which bursts daily with fresh foods, locally-prepared specialities, and delicacies from all over France. The flat is furnished in a relaxed and cozy style, with beautiful beamed ceilings, cool whitewashed walls and art from local artists throughout. The sejour, or main room, is a large open space, with two balconies opening over Rue Sade, comfortable seating arranged around a wood-burning fireplace, and a dining area accommodating up to 10 guests. An American-style kitchen opens on to the room, lavishly equipped with everything you’ll require from a cappuccino machine to fine dining accoutrement's. Accommodating up to 7 guests comfortably, this is an ideal rental opportunity for several couples travelling together

The town of Antibes is one of the jewels of the Riviera, situated on one of the Mediterranean’s finest harbors. The old town teems with terrific local restaurants, shopping for everything from locally-grown foodstuffs to the finest fashions, and wonderful cafés and bars. There’s a cinema, world-class museums and galleries. You can walk to the local beaches, or go a bit further to glamorous swimming spots along the Cap d’Antibes. In Winter, skiing in the Alps is less than two hours’ drive away. And yachting and boating make up a main part of the Antibes charm; its marina is the best on the Riviera. You’re a 20 minute drive from the Nice-Côte d’Azur Airport. Less than half an hour’s drive from the front door is Cannes, the glamorous film capital of France, as well as Nice, with its wonderful shopping and beaches. 45 minutes away is the famous hilltop village St. Paul de Vence, Monte Carlo, Cap Ferrat, Grasse. 1 hour to Italy.

The flat was everything promised by the owner, and more. The location is as good as it gets, in the midst of the best of old Antibes. It's within steps of the best restaurants in town and the marche, a four-minute-walk to the beach, and a fifteen-minute-walk to the trains to all the lovely adjacent towns (perfect for day trips). The neighbors are friendly and the local shopkeepers were all friendly and cordial.We stayed for a month and departed with great reluctance and many wonderful new memories.
The flat is a couple of floors up and the elevation permits the sunlight to flood wonderfully through the windows. Ceiling fans kept us comfortable in all the rooms, despite high temperatures one week. The kitchen was generously supplied to facilitate cooking. A thorough renter's manual was provided and local contact was cheerfully helpful.
We would return in a heartbeat.
Owner's Response: What we aim to do is provide a 'home away from home' for our renters. We hope they will fall in love with the place and the ambience of la belle Antibes in the way that we have done. A review like this shows we've succeeded, and that is enormously satisfying.

We stayed at the appartment in august 2008 it is within the old town in a small cobbled street.It was a well equiped rustic airy appartment with ample sleeping room,two queen beds (very comfortable) .Good kitchen facilities with washing machine.great for poping out to the boulongerie just downstairs.Probably not best suited for us with our three and five year old boys as the appartment is quite high and you have to climb a lot of stairs!Also parking is hard to find, the nearest car park is about a five minute walk through the town.This appartment would be great for young couples or a family with teenage children who dont mind walking.Also bear in mind there is no air conditioning,however there are ceiling fans in all the rooms though we did still get quite hot.
