Photos and Description of this Antibes holiday apartment 3 Double Bedrooms, 1 Bathroom, Sleeps 6

Located in the heart of Old Antibes, this spacious apartment is the ideal base for a holiday on the Riviera. It is surrounded by shops and restaurants and a 5 minute stroll from the famous yacht marina, the beach or the provencal market. Bus and railway stations are also within a 10 minute walk. The entrance to the building is set back from the main street by a charming courtyard filled with flowers and trees. This first floor apartment occupies one whole side of the courtyard with traditional shuttered windows and balconies looking onto the main square. The large lounge and dining area boasts massively high-beamed ceilings, chandelier and old-style fireplace. The whole apartment has been lovingly restored over an 18 month period ending in May 2003. The furnishings are elegant, extremely tasteful, and provide a quality of finish rarely found in rental property. Italian tiles and traditional colours have been used throughout to respect and enhance the original period charm.

Antibes is a picturesque old seaport on the French Riviera, mid-way between Nice and Cannes. The old town bustles with life through its narrow, winding lanes and spacious tree-lined squares that are filled with open-air cafes and restaurants and shops of all kinds. Antibes is famous for its yacht marina, provencal market and medieval ramparts that surround the town. As well as its own sandy, secluded beach, Antibes is next door to the lively beaches of Juan-les-Pins.

Further details for this holiday apartment rental in Antibes, France

Living Room / Dining Area: The huge living room and dining area features very high wooden-beamed ceilings, typical of the period. Other traditional features include a chandelier, an old-style fireplace and rococo mirror. The dining area boasts a large mosaic tile Moroccan dining table, seating six. The lounge area contains sofas and a television. Stairs lead up to the mezzanine level.

Bedrooms: The mezzanine level above the dining room is of beautiful wood construction and contains a double bed. The mezzanine is so well equipped, spacious and solidly built that we have counted it as a separate bedroom. The second bedroom sleeps two singles – one at floor level and another in a small mezzanine, accessed by a proper, solid built-in staircase. Finally the master bedroom contains a period double bed and built-in wardrobes. Two sets of French doors open out onto small balconies overlooking the main square.

Kitchen and Bathroom: The bright and cheerful kitchen is spacious for a town apartment and comes fully equipped. The expensively finished bathroom contains a full-sized bath and shower and is luxuriously tiled. Large, double-shuttered windows in both the kitchen and bathroom make them airy and light.

Perfect central Antibes apartment

Ade C St Albans, Herts, UK
Review Submitted: November 13, 2008 Date of Stay: October 2008
We were picked up at Nice airport by Mark for a smooth and swift transfer to Antibes. Our party included 5 adults, 1 baby and luggage so Mark had arranged for a people carrier. I recommend this. It was good value, convenient and relaxing.
The apartment is in a great location right in the centre of Antibes off a square, with plenty of excellent restaurants, cafes and supermarkets.
The entrance to the apartment is up a small shallow flight of stairs (which were slightly gloomy). Once inside the apartment we were surprised as the pictures and description on the web did not do it justice. The apartment was larger than we expected (maybe I've seen too many wide angle estate agent pics).
The apartment is based upon a corridor with the lounge/diner/mezzanine at one end, then another bedroom, the kitchen, the large bathroom and finally the master bedroom.
My recommendation is that whoever goes to bed last should sleep on the mezzanine. The 2nd bedroom (bunk beds) has a large sliding door off the main corridor which was useful. When open it gave a feeling of airiness and space and when closed made the room more private.
The kitchen had everything you would need for a holiday apartment. The shower was just lovely with lashings of hot water.
Along the length of the corridor were cupboards full of useful stuff such as buckets and spades for the beach etc.

My wife’s parents go to Nice every year but we will be recommending this apartment in Antibes.

Spacious apartment

Hilbo Scotland
Review Submitted: October 21, 2008 Date of Stay: October 2008
We chose this apartment because it had 4 separate beds -one master bedroom with a double bed; one small bedroom with a single bed and a mezzanine bed (a sturdily built loft bed, not uncommon in Antibes) above it in the same room; and one spacious mezzanine with a double bed above the living room. This last could cause problems if the sleeper(s) on the mezzanine wanted to go to bed and others wanted to stay up and party. The kitchen and bathroom had a lovely light but the living room is dull. It's not a flat you'd want to stay in during the day. The dining area is great though. There was an eccentric collection of crockery, cutlery and saucepans and a scarcity of some items, glasses, tea towels, no toaster. We managed fine though using our initiative. It took a while to work out how to use the oven. There's only one bathroom and toilet, However, lots of hot water. It is close to all amenities, shops, restaurants, beaches and transport systems. So, it's not a luxury pad but it was extremely reasonably priced and a great place for less fussy travellers. It's up one flight of stairs and the mezzanines would not suit less able bodied folk. It was very French, we thought, and we really enjoyed ourselves during our week. Thanks to owners and agents.

great location, charming apartment, minor niggles

Englebert Lisburn
Review Submitted: September 2, 2008 Date of Stay: August 2008
The location of this apartment was superb for us, right in the heart of the old town which is charming, lively and beautiful to explore. The bus and trains are 5 and 10 mins walk away. Be aware though that the square is lively so the front bedroom is noisy at night and from early morning but the other beds are quiet. Disappointed with cleanliness on arrival but we got over it. Loved the charm of this older apartment, very comfortable.
