Thank you for a great time in Cannes ... it is a beautiful place and we found the apartment wonderful!, spotless and extremely well-equipped... such a great location, the beach is so close and we loved the markets……the air con and the quiet bedrooms were a real bonus.....we will certainly be back!

This is our third stay and we love Cannes and the apartment more each trip! We re still finding new places to visit....this year we did the boat trips out to the islands and really enjoyed some wonderful walking and sunbathing out there!! .....and we found some great new restaurants which we've added to your recommended list.

Fantastic! Don't want to go home! Two weeks was not nearly long enough!!
There are five excellent and very scenic golf courses near Cannes. The skiing areas take about 2 hours to drive to but the mountains and lakes for excellent walking are much closer. Coastal walking is wonderful and the apartment has an excellent library of local interest books and maps to help plan your stay. Boat trips out to the beautiful, totally unspoilt and peaceful Lerrins Islands are regular every day service and also further to St. Tropez. The bus inland takes you to Mougins, Valbonne and Grasse.
There are too many excursions to mention here but as an example, in addition to taking the train in the direction of Nice, another interesting little train trip is to go in the other direction to the other end of the Bay of Cannes, about 10 minutes on the train, to Theole sur Mer. Make your way out of the station across a very pretty courtyard full of tempting restaurants and cross the road to the sea front. Go down on to the beach to the right of the beautiful old castle (which houses an art exhibition), cross the sands and stroll right along between the sea and the castle walls along an old stone path and then continue over the cliffs to more beaches, harbours and restaurants with decks out over the water. Admire the stunning views back to the castle, the whole of the Bay of Cannes, Nice and the snow-capped mountains beyond, or watch the fish in the crystal clean waters below you, as you sip a delicious French coffee! It doesn't get better than this!
