Cannes:
WIFI in the apartment. A 5 minutes walk will take you to the 8km sand beach along the promenade 'la Croisette', where you will be able to sunbathe, swim and water ski. After a day at the beach, an excursion to the nearby, Iles de Lerins, or a walk up to the Suquet for a lovely view of Cannes, you can relax at the terrace of a café, dine at a fine restaurant or go shopping on the rue d'Antibes.
You can finish the day with an exciting evening at the casino or one of the other night spots. On summer a firework festival is really beautiful on the bay. The nicest time to come is spring from March-April to June and autumn. The weather is usually very nice, not too hot and not too much traffic!
You can reach Italy, Saint Tropez, Porquerolles's Island, from Cannes by excursion's boats. From Nice you can take a ferry for Corsica.
Wining and dining:
Try excellent provencal specialities in a typical 'bistrot' or in one the more famous restaurants. Bouillabaisse, fish soup, salad niçoise, ratatouille, pissaladière, along with a good bottle of French wine.
Leisure:
All the year, Cannes proposes different Festivals.
On June, the horse is honoured throughout the show jumping event.
On July: The finest International amateur golf tournament. The classical Musical night of the Suquet.
On July and August: . International fireworks Festival on the bay.
On September, the international Yachting show, the most important nautical trade show of the Mediterranean.
It's following this show that the famous Royal Regatta stake place; Traditional salling rigs and the most majestic sailing ships in the world get together for several days in the bay of Cannes.

Italy 60km: In Vintimiglia every Friday a huge market all day.
Ski:
'Gréolière', small family ski station, the nearest from Cannes about an hour, as well 'Andon' even smaller!
For good ski, at one and half hours from Cannes, Auron, a typical ski station, wood chalets.
'Isola 2000', another very good ski station, modern complexes, good snow any time. As far as Auron.
'Valberg, one hour by car, nice and not too big ski station.
Golf:
Located 10 to 15km away from most Golfs. Mandelieu, Mougins, Valbonne, Biot, Saint Raphaël....most of them less than 15 kilometers.
Other Activities:
Ski in winter 1 1/2 hour.
