CLEANLINESS:
One important area for us is that anywhere we stay is spotlessly clean.
Our apartment is thoroughly cleaned before each party of guests arrive. In winter the heat is switched on. Beds are dressed with fresh linen and clean towels are provided for each guest. You just need to bring your own beach towels. On departure the apartment is cleaned once again so you do not need to spend your holiday time cleaning and polishing!
BEACH TOWELS:
While we do provide towels for each guest, we do not supply beach towels so please remember to bring your own.
LOCAL MARKETS :
Cannes is always a wonderful location for a holiday, whether in summer or winter as the local markets provide a great place for shopping as well as for people-watching!
The most famous market in Cannes is the Forville market which specialises in locally-grown fruit, vegetables and flowers. In summer it is a wonderful sight with the brightly colored fruits and berries. You can also buy olive oil, cold cuts, a wide variety of cheeses, farm fresh eggs as well as dried herbs and spices. Forville can be found two blocks north from the Hotel de Ville on Rue Félix Faure. This is a big, active covered market, that takes up a full, long block. A flower market is at the west end of this covered area.
Art/antiques/crafts - a Marché Brocante is held every Saturday in Cannes, 'Sur Les Allées' - opposite the old port, beneath the trees. This becomes a two-day market on the first Sunday of the month. On Mondays, Forville becomes a Marché Brocante.
Both are approx 10 minutes walk away!
