FULLY Refurbished (May 09) close to sea luxury self-catering apartment in one of the most prestigious buildings on the coast, with a view over Port Gallice marina. The property has marble floors and bathroom, private secure access, quality furnishings, u-ground parking, air con, TV, Hi-fi. It is 2 minutes from Belle Rives Hotel (great dining terrace!) famous for 1920s parties of Scott Fitzgerald. This is where the 'suntan' originated! We are 2 minutes from Les Pecheurs formal (Michelin Star) and beach dining. 5 Min walk to coffee shops, boutiques, and various patisserie in Juan-les-Pins. 9 Min walk to train station. This is a beautifully well maintained apartment in a great location. Concierge 5 1/2 days a week. Very safe, shallow, sandy free beach, known only to locals. Other beaches of Les Pecheurs 3 min away, with loungers, bar, etc. Our own terrace has clear sea views, lounger, chairs, and table for dinner. You will love this place, most of our guests are repeat.

  • 1 double, 1 single with a pull out bed which is very comfortable, however second bedroom (the single) is not very spacious if being used as a double bedroom! Suitable for sleeping in (not lounging!), however ample storage of provencial style wardrobe and chest of drawers.

Notes: The feeling from the apartment is one of space and cleanliness. Marble floors and bathroom, quality furnishings (de Tonge style), views to sea, it is a great escape. Some of our guests have stayed in the Belle Rives Hotel nearby, which is excellent, and prefer to now stay in our apartment. This is quite a recommendation! Port Gallice Marina is 1 minute away if you like dreaming about boats! Almost all of the people who rented in 2008 had also rented in 2007 and before. If you rent this apartment you will come back!

Water Skiing: We are led to believe that Water Skiing was invented here, at the Belle Rives, which is 3 minutes away. they offer water skiing lessons at all levels including novice, with very friendly and expert staff. It is a great way to spend an hour in the bay, and enjoy a drink by the waters edge afterwards. If you have never done it before (first time for me) this may be the place to try it. Private too if you are of a sensitive disposition!

Tennis: There is a local tennis court (about 1km away further onto the cap). Courts are clay, and you don't need to be a member. On one occasion we even rented a tennis racket! Drinks are available from the 'hut' - this is not a posh place, but functions great if you just want to play tennis and have a simple drink afterwards. It's not expensive and is a good escape from the hustle and bustle of the towns... worth a try if you enjoy tennis.

Dining: If you like food this is the place to go to. Please ask us for recommendations, but in short the Belle Rives offers a relatively formal terrace dining, Keller Plage for high quality beach dining, Palme d'Or in Cannes for big night, Les Pecheurs (3 beach side restaurants) for any of the above as all is catered for. Les Pecheurs and Belle Rives are literally 3 minutes away, or even less. Keller Plage is at Plage de La Garoupe and is more than a short walk, so car required (but 4-5 mins drive). Cannes is 15 mins drive from the apartment, our solution has always been 'train' out (station 9 mins walk from apartment) and get taxi back, which is about 20-25 euros. Taxis are expensive on the South Coast!

Golf: We understand there are golf courses not too far away, but not being golfers we don't know much about this.

Other Activities: Dining, the restaurants are great! Michelin 1 star 100m away.
